Garlett and Tuohy are weak links at the moment, IMO.

Docherty looked spent late in the game, but he and Everitt have been really good pick ups.

Better game from Carrazzo but the end is getting near for him I reckon. Maybe for Brock too.

Umpires! I'd love to watch Carlton compete in a fair contest without the maggots destroying the game. But I know what to expect on game day, and this game was a pretty fair reaming from the maggots in the second quarter in particular. Like last week, this game was put out of balance/balanced by the maggots.

Our boys did well.. our kicks are smothered too often..

I just want to see Essendon* (the club) get ANNIHILATED ..... nothing will give me greater pleasure right now... lost ALL faith if this doesn't happen

I have a mate who was a gun rugby player and he has said for thirty years that there are too many rules in Aussie rules that are up for interpretation.
Scott was complaining after one htb ruling and I don't blame him. Why? Because five seconds earlier, one of his players had done exactly the same thing, been swung around 180 and let the footy go and not been pinged. If the first one was OK, the second one should have been also. The coaches and players complain about not knowing the rules any more.

The HTB one should be simple. You get tackled you either kick it or handball it. Nothing else is acceptable but the umpires rule that there was insufficient time for him to react or that the footy was jarred free or that he tried!!! So what if he tried. Did he kick it or handball it?
same with in the back. I posted in the first quarter after Hawkins pushed Rowe out for his first mark that it used to be a free so the front spot was best. Now they say,Hawkins has the sit when he's behind because he is allowed to push the player under the footy. Either you are or are not allowed to push a player in the back. Forearms are OK but hands aren't and hands are if you are holding and there's no forward momentum or it's OK to push in the back and mark in one action.

Those extra couple of % in concentration, composure and commitment make the difference.

Across the board I think it's a general issue, but I must say that when the whips were cracking tonight, Garlett, Tuohy & Waite stood out to me as weak links. I reserve the right to change my mind after watching the replay, but that's my feeling straight after the game.
