Top 50 players? Who the @#$%&! cares? Can he play a non-midfield role IF (as I believe) a permanent midfield role is past him in 2015? I say no.

Judd is a victim of his own greatness. We class him in a league that very few can ever aspire to. He is not just elite he is in the elite of the elite. Therefore we dont judge him fairly imho. He is no longer in that top bracket, he has come back to the pack a bit, but he still has a huge amount to offer and is still better than most midfielders going around. Lets not forget the pressure he takes off murphy and now gibbs and our other midfielders, if he is playing...opposition let judd off the leash at there peril. I agree that a figure around 450 k is more appropriate, judd may not agree, and whether he continues will have a lot to do with a. How is the next two years going to be for our club and b. What other opportunities are out there for him.

I'm with doc. Judd didn't add much last year outside of a few cameos and nothing this year. It's time we moved on. Offering 350/400 for Judd as someone else mentioned is pure silliness. He's barely delivered 100k per year value over the last two years.

Sounds like I'm in the minority but I still rate him highly. I believe this year has shown our glaring weaknesses with him out of the side.

IMO he has carried us for the best part of 4-5 years and that has been underestimated. Sometimes when players our out for a while we forget how good they are.

I hope he is fit enough to play next year and assist Murphy in bringing the next crop through. He has always been a team first player and I think he will do that.

..of course, a Judd in decline is still one of the better mids, if he can get full fitness and not sustain any recurring injuries he has a few years in him.. ..good years too, his inside game will be as strong as ever, and with better mids he will actually peg back some of the decline as well.. ..everyone plays better alongside good, united functioning team mates..

..and inside the stoppages, he is still one of the most ferocious clearance machines in the game, and he should still very much have that..

My thoughts exactly. He's not the flashy player he was in his early 20s but his inside work is as good as most and underrated. Issue has been defensively but given our current situation I still see him as tremendous value. To have him alongside Cripps, Menzel, Graham, Holman, Docherty, Buckley and some more kids this year has to be beneficial.

Would make a great assistant coach in training.
