ok...so you'd have noticed Gibbs, Judd and Garlett have gone. Waite is still there because there's no reason why he should retire. One year deal while another young forward comes through and the club should snare one with an early pick from either ladder position and/or Gibbs compo.
The others are probably contract decisions and therefore untouchable. Tuohy for instance is contracted through 2016! Watson, Carrazzo and Kreuzer 2015. There's enough there to work with providing we get some pace and kids with footy smarts through draft or trade.
Agree. They are untouchables as in contracted, but they can be traded.
I feel there's at least 15 we'd keep as the core and a new bunch of 5 every year, till we have 30 of them challenging for the best 22.
High draft picks is what we need. 2 a year for 3 seasons. We have to turn over the list till some good ones fall our way. We're due.
If only we could trade for some of the KPs from GC and GWS.
I'm sure we'd be making a play for them as we speak....they cost...maybe some of the "untouchables"....plus a pick.
