GOOD ON HIM.......WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN HIM VOICING HIS OPINION VIA ONE MEDIUM AND ALL OF US DOING THE SAME THROUGH TC?

YOU MIGHT NOT AGREE WITH THE CONTENT, BUT SURELY WE ARE HYPOCRTICAL IF WE DENY HIM A RIGHT TO GO PUBLIC?

Too many laying it all at the feet of the old coach and taking their eye off the ball to solving the real problem.

Mick barely showed his mug at trade week.

Wasted year.

Not only that.

if some on here are to be believed he knew it was shizen but maintained the pretence that the list was fine.

Honest Mick!

We'll be lucky to make 160 without merging, relocating or being sold.

How so? Why do you make such outlandish statements? The auditor's report won't be pretty reading - but it'll make for better reading than any year compared to that of the last decade. And..."being sold" :?: :?:  :?: You for real Cimm? Or just a few sandwiches short of picnic?

Because your good buddy Ratten had all the deadwood locked in with 2 year contracts.

I put the statement " We'll be lucky to make 160 without merging, relocating or being sold" as being at least as accurate as "NO LIMITS" NO REBUILD" and "THE LIST IS FINE" .

You can do better than that Agro. You surely don't think we could not have traded last year because our bottom 3 players were contracted ??

Quick question about our recruiting, was the last draft Shane Rogers first year as head recruiter?

..not purely MM.. ..the club carries the cross on last season's off-season stasis.. ..as mentioned, list cloggers on too long a contract, and either couldn't afford to delist and pay them out, or wanted to 'save face' and thought it was the lesser of two evils.. ..other players were shopped around, but either not rated, of a player such as Knockers may have been rated a bit higher, but long costly contract means clubs weren't going to offer anything under 40's.. ..contrary to belief we didn't just sit on our hands.... ..it's just we lack players that others would want, save the ones we can't bare to lose..

Fair enough...the list was never fine. I'm not sure where the other quotes come from. But at least acknowledge that his hands were tied. Nothing he could do - unless you wanted the club to pay out guys with two years still to run a contract. If Icke and McKay were good operators - they would have said to these kids - we're going to go year by year contracts. If they wanted to leave and take their chance in a draft - fine. But to have all these guys with multiple year contracts was just stupid.

But Malthouse has at least figured out who can play and who can't. And it turns out that a few can't. And there's probably a few that he'll have to keep on there because they aren't worth much on the open market - but he has to put them on the table. Offer Michael Jamison to the Saints...see what they say...they're after a full-back...chance to hold the upper hand in negotiations...and if it doesn't work - Jamison stays and you still have an OK full-back albeit one that is overrated by Carlton supporters and is injury prone.

Malthouse has shown that it ain't that hard to turn it around pretty quickly. I believe we have the nucleus of a good list. I believe we'll add to it significantly and have the potential to turn it into a very god list. But a genuine List Manager would help. The fact that we don't have one is an indictment on the board.

This is the big concern Doc.

We all know there will be a big cull at the end of the season, however how can the members have faith in those in charge when they have such a poor track record?

The club has shown they have learnt very little when it comes to proper list management - look at Waite's contract after what happened with Whitnall, Joseph, Davies, the rucks.

hahaha

ten years ago is this where you thought we would be today???

last year there were signs.. like a decade ago we put it down to injuries...

we have no clue how to judge a list...

Again.. in 2 years 5 of our most important players will be retired...but were already miles behind where we have to be..

Our club buys up our memberships... to mae it look ike theyre bringing people in?
They cannot cnnect with us..... they are throwing money at coaches.. players and the membership now...

OMG this place is [REDACTED]!!!

Thats their answer........ money!!!

Were 6 ot 7 mill in the red!!!

Bit hard for us to overrate Jamo there Doc. It's not even that there's a better option for FB, he's the only option, haha.
