as if it matters if hodge gets weeks.
hes done his damage.
they won the game
hodge getting weeks does not help us next time we play them

our captain was sent to hospital no remonstrations
robbo gets smashed into the fence by two hawks nothing
henderson cops an elbow to the chops nothing again....
thats just on the back of what they always do to us.... it will continue to happen unless we do the same

before the game dermie said and im paraphrasing but he said this.. "everyone knows carlton is soft.. stkilda won against them because they bullied them"....

dermie knows what the hawks think of us..... and e very team....

if hodge got 3 weeks it wouldnt mean jack to us.. the damage was done and we didnt do anything ON THE FIELD!!!

tribunal like guerra last year???

pfffft

ground hog day again next time boys... mark it down...!!!

oh and and i wouldnt be at all surprised if someone else gets sniped soon....(even if its camouflaged beautifully to make it look like an accident)

We dont have a Buckley, Johnston, Diesel etc who would try and even up the score or at least let it be known that we wont accept that sort of crap

I think we stood up in terms of hard football but it wasn't unsociable and it seems (to me anyway) a little passionless.

I don't think we've had any kind of "in your face" footballer since Setanta. Robbo has a crack but he a voice in the wilderness .

Heard Adam Simpson on SEN Saturday having a dig at us saying " Carlton took the intensity up a not ch through players like Robinson but we took it further"

You'll never intimidate Hodge or Mitchell so you have to play them hard. If your going to worry them you have to target their skilled players.

Good call - but even Mick Malthouse says he's a different type of player to his dad

I think this was code for - that pr#ck Jimmy knocked me out at the MCG in 1982 one afternoon as a square up for David Glascott getting knocked out by Jimmy Jess

Thats exactly how you tackle this mob...

They dont understand anything else... theyre a Clarkson coached Dermie inspired club.

You just have to target their soft underbelly.... they have soft players.

they bully us cos they get away with it... they cant bully geelong.

its simple... next time we play them we need to get in first... cos u know exactly what theyre going to do.

bomber...used to be collo lofts nicholls.. then it was buckley johnston bosustow .. then williams spalding rhys etc

now we are a punching bag.... we just cop it.. straight after their captain did that to ours we just had to go in and show him that was unacceptab le.. it doesnt matter if they thought it was an accident or not.. our captain on the ground holding his cheek meant everybody get into hodge... not one player did... lol

hodge thought this is too easy and continued on henderson later.. again nothing

and we lose the game...

theres a message there...!!!...

he actually had the chance to stick a knee into a pack and split it open ala fev but he didnt...

these are the things that you must do when youre his size to make others walk taller around you.

you dont have to be big to inflict damage... it helps

u know the damage is also in the psyche of the oppositon... doesnt just have to be phsysical.. alot is inferred...
it makes opposition shrink and our boys walk taller!!
its how teams treat us.. and u can bet your bottom dollar it will happen again and again till we do it back to someone.

He has done it before a few times. Once his fitness improves I think he'll be more physically imposing.

I'm with you here Synners. They have their little soft cocks. We need to take a couple of theirs out early and set the standard. Bullies hate being bullied. I rather us nail one of their harder nuts just like Johnno did to Dipper in the 87 GF. Set the tone from the start. I think we have our enforcer, Lucas.

their hard nuts love that kind of stuff.. their playmakers not so much...

you clip their wings so to speak

I will go a step further and say we need to target their tougher players. Hodge, Lewis in particular. The day we set the standard against these two is the day we break their hold on us. I want to see hodge splayed on the ground after a fair bump with a broken cheekbone and teeth rattled. He needs to know that we don't forget and every action has an equal or more intense reaction.

This will change the game. Come on blues!

This is an area MM will be addressing ... collision players and players that don't get unnerved.

Fair call mate. Their hard nuts might like dishing it out, not quite as much fun copping it. Take out one or two of them and watch their HBF's have different thoughts.

He might target ask for more naturally hard players but I doubt he'll have a game plan to target players

With the odd exception I don't remember too many games where either the WCE or his Pies sides were dirty.

On the contrary I think the sides he's sent out have been fair.

Worsfold was a nasty piece of work but apart from that I don't reckon he's had a dirty player in any of his groups.

we have....

were always tested because of it... we need to lose it.

I don't disagree, I just don't remember it being a feature of MM sides even the early (and soft) Eagles.

Mind you he might be thinking of shortening the development process.

We need a couple of players with controlled aggression. Someone like a Robbie Muir.
