WE ran out of legs again....it seems that way and MM says he has many who can't go the 100 min distance...so we need players who can.

As for Rowe...I'm sure I know about him. Great story. Hasn't got what it takes to match up with Roughead or Buddy. He's a C grade player. No to Rowe unless there isn't anyone else.

Waite Hendo and Casboult forward is a great idea...we need to kick a winning score.

Yarran, Betts, Garlett are goal kickers.

Out cachia and curnow???

Look at the bigger picture. Handy foot soldiers but can they take us forward? Solid efforts from a side that's sits around 8th to 10th doesnt cut it for me.

Once again we ran out of legs and options late in a game. We need to develop and recruit player that will continually take the game on.

Defensively we have improved a lot but offensively we need more options. Teams are starting to shut us down too easily deep into 3rd and 4th qtrs.

We simply lack quality depth.

I agree with this

We need to focus on winning a premiership. Not simply being competitive and making up the numbers.

Unfortunately, with Judd on the wane we need an injection of class and leadership. Not necessarily just in a physical sense but players who are able to mentally deal with sustained pressure. We tend to go to water when real pressure is applied.

I am really hoping that Menzel and Graham is the class we are looking for. Now if we can only find that hardness or leadership that a player like Selwood provides for Geelong. I love him but Murphy does not provide this.

Nothing wrong with Cachia and Curnow. They have a go. Few other players not up to it when pressure is on and they never will be.

I am glad this is our home game so I don't have to put up with boorish Hawks fans who get more obnoxious the further they get in front.

Bring in Menzel and carrots.

Drop robbo and Lucas.

Won't make a difference, we will be competitive but lose. But I think the time as come to play Mendel as much as his fitness levels allow.

Will Carrots be right next week? He would probably replace Curnow or Robbo.

My plan
1. Kruezer to CHB and leave him there all year. Needs to find a spot and rebuild confidence. Could become a Val Perovic type
2. Hendo to CHF
3. Waite as mobile leading forward
4. Casboult to FF changing ruck with Warnock (who I don't rate at all)
5. Touhy becomes a mid/fwd and rotates into the fwd line with Betts/Garlett
6. When Casboult rucks, Touhy goes into the fwd line and both he and Armfield co-captan the fwd line structure, set ups etc, terrorising the opp defence etc.
7. Lucas needs a spell in the 2s with a boxing and tackling coach (as well a hypnotherapist, not beauty therapist). Haven't given up on him yet.
8. Menzel in
9. Laidler moves into the back 6 to replace Touhy
10. My team to challenge Hawks (if 206 fit) is:

BACKS: Laidler Jamison Simpson
HB: Scotland Kruezer Walker
MID: Yarran Gibbs Garlett
HF: Armfiield Henderson Waite
FF: Betts Casboult Menzel

FOLL: Warnock Touhy Murphy

IC: Judd Curnow Cachia McLean

Tough game but we are a chance.

We aren't playing that badly and the players will want to make amends for last night. We will also be the significant underdog for the first time this season, a position which we seem to relish.

On top of this, we have to beat them one day and they are due for a loss in general. And perhaps the break will disrupt their momentum.
