Yeah I reckon I can. Don't get me wrong - I'd love to see the lad blossom and fingers crossed he will, but ...
for a #1 pick ... to date he hasn't delivered.
..ok, maybe i should clarify.. ..for me, there's a big difference between a player under-performing even though they are healthy, and a player's ability to produce their best being held back through injury, but them still performing to the best of their 'restricted' ability even through an injury.. ..yes Krooz was picked at #1, but the only reason why we're not all jizzing over his career to date has been the ACL holding him back, prior to that he was the next dean cox.. ..and i still believe out of all the current new breed of rucks running around, that krooz is cox's heir apparent..
..in fact, i think for such a big kid, any ruck even a #1 picked ruck [or KPP for that matter], that has done as well as Krooz has in such a short time has performed.. ..the vast majority of kpps give little in their first 4/5 seasons, the fact that he was picked at #1 shouldn't automatically give way to impatience.. ..even with his progress being held back by the ACL, which keeps a big player out of the game for a year, and then after their comeback will often take a year or two to hit their best form again, even with that holding him back, to see how well he's gone shouldering the majority of the ruck work from an 18 yr old kid, to a young man of 22/23, is massive..
