Troy Menzel will be a gun forward in the AFL. Anyone know about his progress?...

Played a half of footy for the Nth Blues and kicked one goal. Showed good signs apparently.

Fantastic! What are peoples thoughts on playing him in the AFL ASAP. Is he the player that can have an immediate impact?

Nice avatar, zeecfc. Captain of Carlton.

Can anybody tell me what's wrong with Waite? Calf I am lead to believe...Has anyone tracked his pre-season and can tell me if he at any stage was in good physical shape? Also, is anyone else a bit surprised to see him in the leadership group? He has hardly been on the park in recent years and when he has been is often undisciplined.

Round 1 he surely wont be fit....any idea when?

Also, do we have a forward issue at the club?

He's voted in by his peers...what better way is there of determining the leaders?

Can you explain how he is often undisciplined? And please dont refer to being reported....he's got off more than he's been suspended. He carries a stigma with fans around because of it though.

Waite was last suspended in 2010, I think some people need to get over it.

Injuries are more the concern.

Just can't make sense of this!
Tom was as impressive as the next bloke vs GWS & Sydney. Then, for what I thought was load balancing reasons, he was sub against freo. Came on late in that game and as expected didn't do much (game was dead by that stage!). Then he is missing against the crows and not named this week?!?!

I would've thought that with what he brings to the table he would need to be a part of our first choice midfield group. We got mauled repeatedly last season against teams with big-bodied midfielders and it is an area we need to improve on to make progress this year. McLean's resurgence has helped in this area but Bell adds another dimension as he is more imposing physically and brings a lot more in athletic attributes compared to Brock.

Strange decision and one I cannot fathom at this stage...

Isn't Bell being punnished for some minor misdemeanor?

Thought i read about it on here. Maybe heard from another source.........anyway that is what i think is going on since the Freo game.

Pat McCarthy did his Plantar Fascia at training this morning. There's varying degrees of that injury so until he has further tests we won't know the extent of damage and how long he'll be out for.

Has it fully snapped?

Didn't Fraser Gehrig and or Robert Harvey have a part torn and they jumped on it until it fully snapped

Don't know if it fully snapped...he was walking on it, with the help of a crutch.

If he had a problem with plantar fasciitis and by snapping it Doc means snapping that bit connecting plantar to heel that was rotting away and causing the pain then this is a good thing.
2-3 weeks and then back with a better foot than before.

If it is something else then who knows?
