i saw robbo at about 8pm last night and i knew he was going to get himself into trouble very soon. he looked really happy and excitable as usual but was jumping around through the crowd pushing anyone that got in his way. he was having a lot of fun and wasnt trying to cause any trouble but it was only a matter of time before someone was going to push him back....

I was there yesterday and saw the incident.

That group were looking for trouble all day, Robbo was there enjoying the music he wasnt there for trouble i sad hello to him he was sober and seemed to be in good spirits. There were a group of 4 or 5 bogans just following him around giving him stick until one of robbo's mates gave one of them a bit back and the altercation started. All they wanted was a response they charged his friend a scuffle broke out and robbo was breaking it up... They wouldnt stop if you watch the video you will see robbo punch one of them that was out of pure frustration because they wouldnt back off and leave it alone. Robbo then tries to walk away and goes to tie his shoelaces and gets sucker punched by one of the idiots trying to make a name for themselves by hitting robbo... Robbo took the punch and reversed it and ended up on top trying to control the guy that hit him... He got up and walks away he was fuming that these guys ruined his day.

It was a disgrace and those boys should be banned from attending any festivals in Melbourne.

Poor bloke didnt even get to see the peppers in the end.

Robbo was in good spirits he was friendly this shows that.

He wasnt drunk.

Was provoked he did nothing wrong.

Just a bunch of heroes wanting to make a name for themselves.

Might be worthwhile sending an email to the club Benji. Its a shame a footballer can't go out somewhere without a bunch of heroes wanting to show how tough they are by picking a fight with him.

Those blokes were heroes they were saying stuff like "youre a ranga because your mum flowered for skittles" robbo was ignoring it talking to people that were nice to him taking photos and what not. Then after a good half an hour one of his mates told them thats enough and to get flowered now and the fight broke out.

Robbo reaction when leaving was a sad sight he almost left with the realization that he cant go anywhere anymore. If you cant go to a music festival and enjoy your day then that is a disgrace.

I feel for him.

I'm all for turning the other cheek and keeping a low profile but if the situation is as Benji described then he can punch on as far as I'm concerned.

My eyes the punch was justified everybody has their limits... Robbo was standing up for himself in self defense in no way did he want to fight but at some stage you can let people get away with that it unacceptable behavior in society.

The only thing Robbo did wrong was he went to the big day out.
