Collo could turn in to a real beauty. I agree with the pro Jiffy posters. He did some important things last nite, and is on the up.

With Jeffy it's about pressure and TACKLES, good to see him getting it back.

North look super slow, so lets hope he has some fun.

We need a tall focal point in the forward line against North.
I'm not necessarily saying bring Warnock in a plonk Kreuzer in the square but Cox ripped North a new one today.
If Mitchell shows something tomorrow I'd give him a crack that's if Hendo's not fit.

Assuming Hendo doesn't come up for this game, Hammer's replacement would seem to be a choice between Warnock & T-Bird. Not an easy decision...

T-Bird is more likely to hit the scoreboard as a forward and can go into defence if needed. However, if we don't bring in Warnock, there's really nobody in the team that can give Kreuzer a chop out in the ruck. As well as the Big K did last night, I don't think we want to get in the habit of selecting teams where there isn't someone that is capable of playing as a #2nd ruckman. And, in terms of defensive pressure in the forward line, T-Bird offers little more than Warnock.

We'll see how they go tomorrow, but history tells us that VFL form doesn't weigh heavily on the MC's mind. I suspect the MC will favour Warnock.

As for Simmo, unless Murph is OK to return, his replacement is likely to be either Lucas or Ellard. My preference would certainly be for Lucas, because I see the Simmo injury as being just the opportunity Lucas needs.

Something like this probably.

Betts Kruezer/Warnock Robinson
Garlett Walker Scotland

Agree ABNS - hopefully Lucas puts in a good one tomorrow.

Nah. That horse has bolted. Biggest game of the year was St. Kilda, and then Port, and then Geelong, and then West Coast.

I think TBird is cooked.

Robbo said on radio yesterday that his GPS numbers are the worst at the club and the cue is in the rack.

Sounds as though Simpson is out and Henderson is right to go.

For me:

Out: Simpson Hampson Garlett
In: Henderson Murphy Lucas

Especially since its at Etihad drop Garlett for another mid as there isnt the space.

B: AJ Jamison McInness
HB: Touhy Watson Yarran
C: Gibbs Carrazzo Scotland
HF: Robinson Duigan Armfield
F: Betts Henderson Walker
Foll: Kruezer Judd Murphy
Int: Lucas Curnow Collins (McLean)
Em: Bootsma OKeefe Dale

Hopefully the MC have know realised our best set up is with extra runners and more rotations through the midfield. That is our strength and especially what we need at Etihad.

In the next few weeks we will have the emergencies plus Waite, Simpson, Davies, Garlett, Ellard plus possibly Casboult & Mitchell pushing for a spot.

Agree 100% with these ins and outs, no need for another one dimensional ruck man in the team.

However I would have murphy as the sub in his first game back to ease him into it. Makes no sense for Brock to be sub.

In: Murphy Lucas Henderson
Out: Hampson Simpson McInnes

Duigan to go back to McInnes role.
Henderson to be the focal point up forward
Murphy & Lucas to come in and add some real speed and class to the midfield.

I'd keep Andy McInnes in for as long as possible. He had a great debut. Will only get better with fewer nerves. Really love watching this kid play. Well done to the kid, the recruiters and the boys in charge of development. We've unearthed a beauty.

This will be AJ's job. McInnes, Armfield or Duigan for Thomas.
Gibbs to Wells perhaps, or Army?

Big test this one, to see how we follow up Friday's awesome effort.

Heart says we're gonna flog these perennial strugglers, head says it's at Etihad and we'll have to do our best to stop some spud from having their best game of the year against us.

The top 4 horse has bolted no doubt...

The finals horse is being led into the gate this Friday...

Out: Simmo, hammer
In: henderson, lucas

Garlett showed good intensity around ground. He's down in front of goal but he chased, laid tackles and created opportunities Friday night and doesn warrant being dropped.

If murph is 110% ready play him over Lucas but only if he ticks all boxes and more. Same with hendo. Thornton or casboult otherwise come in, who ever plays better today.

Are we allowed to say, 'moot' here?

Well, well.

North will struggle to come up after fighting out a nail-biter.
We didn't get to put cue in rack but did not have to dig as deep as they did.

I fear North will simply use the fact we play on a smaller ground to close down our run and we know how that normally ends.

I really hope we come with a plan how to counter tags on Judd and Yazz and extra men at stoppages.

As Ratts himself said in the post game presser, the challenge now is to back that performance up.

We've set a minimum benchmark now. Bring that effort, intensity and pressure to every game from here on in. No excuses.

Do that and we are hard to beat. Against any opposition.

I expect North to lock down on our key players, more than the Pies did. I'm sure the players and coaches know what they'll face this week. I'd be very disappointed if we weren't ready come Friday.

We can still make something of the season. Destiny is in our own hands.
