Mark Robinson talks about a dysfunctional forward line yet makes no mention of a 56 goal Andrew Walker being played on the !@#$%& wing.
Have thought about this one, I think MC had to change tactics since the Essendon* game & the +1 they had around the ball to stop our efficency, maybe it's a function of that. If not, makes no sense whyTex has been taken out of such a dysfuntioned forward line.
I reckon it might have something to do with Murphy going down. We are trying to use Walker and his run to compensate for the loss of Murphy. Walker has kicked two goals in each of the three completed games in which he and Murphy have played this season. But since Murphy went down, Walker has only kicked four goals in five games as a result of playing more in the midfield. Walker is getting his hands on the footy but we miss him in the forward line. It is robbing Peter to pay Paul and it has not really worked but it is my theory anyway.
His defensive run, using the angles has cut off a lot of opposition attacks.
Id like to see him forward but can see what they are trying to do. Even without the injuries i could see an argument to move him down the ground if they wanted to introdce a second bigger body inside fifty.
Its all gotten a bit messy.
