Then the club is risking their necks and possibly going from bad to worse to appease the idiots demanding Ratten's head. The sad thing is a lot of the supporters are dumb enough to buy that Malthouse is the panacea for our troubles. After all, footy is a game followed by bogans.

Signing Malthouse would only ramp up the pressure on the club to win a flag next year or in 2013. You wouldn't pay through the nose for a big name coach if you think you need to rebuild. Players haven't shown that they can handle this pressure and deliver. Pains me that we might bypass a bright young coach who could develop with the players like Worsfold, Thompson and others have done.

I hope that the board, President and CEO have the patience and intelligence to look at a younger coach. Yet there's no evidence of this. They'll just leave that to Collingwood who went down this road and haven't looked back. I guess every cloud has a silver lining. igning Malthouse and having it blow up their in faces could be the death knell for the President and the board. And possibly Swann.

Malthouze wouldn't signed for anything less than a 3yr deal you think, 4 more likely. A very, very expensive move to make, you want to be pretty certain...

So we'll probably give him 6 and do it tomorrow...

and that's just the start of it.

When you take on Malthouse you take on an impatient, sullen, paranoid weirdo who's prone to outbursts of his own.

And make no mistake, he'll have his own demands and we'll have to bend to them or he will walk mid contract. He doesn't need the money and he wont put up with anything less than pandering to his every whim because that's what he's used too. Eddie has created a monster!!

I want Ratten gone ASAP and, unfortunately, in the last few days even I get hooked by the Mass Malthouse Delusion, but I REALLY REALLY hope the admin holds it's nerve and has a proper canvassing of all possible candidates.

As I have said a zillion times the fish rots from the head.
Join the dots
Hyde
Cordy
Ratts is a desperate man but was the wrong appointment in the first place.

Our President sits back and does fuckall about it.

Get a figurehead in that can steer the ship in the right direction so these things are avoided in the first place.

Sticks is an empty suit.

It saddens me and shits me at the same time because I really want us to get smashed in the next 3 weeks so the club has to sack him.
Its 07 again and the common theme throgh all of it is

Stephen Kernahan
dumber than a second coat of paint
Surely there is someone in Australia who is willing to challenge him and the board

Because even if Ratten gos before the end of the year we will @#$%&! it again if sticks is anyway involved.

Well clearly Ratts is Jekyll to Hyde.

MM got Collingwood to 5 GFs in 10 years. Decent record. I don't think he's unproven or a big risk.
Seriously I always thought Ratts should coach out the year but the way things are going, those who say more damage could be done by years end are on the money.
The place is imploding. I think something will happen soon.

I've seen this in the workplace: desperate leader out of his depth trying to hang onto his position any way he can... It's really not pretty. On the contrary it's damaging, and disturbing for everyone involved.

But none of this is Ratt's fault. He didn't appoint himself, or re-appoint himself.

Kernahan... You there?

Rattens head is already on a platter only Ratts doesnt know it yet everyone else knows it.

Its like those movies where the lid is lifted the head is sitting on the platter and its talking breathing etc....

The guy should never have been appointed coach... massive mistake by the clowns at the top.. and definitely 3 years too long as coach.

has murdered the footy club

First time that I am admitting this, but I agree with what you have said. If we get spanked tonight I'll agree that he should be let go now rather than later.

Sad situation for all involved.

You shake the tree hard enough, apples will fall.

I assume Barrett contacted someone at the club re: the Hyde resignation. Ended up being given something about Cordy instead, which had otherwise seen no print/air time to date.

Either its the return of the sneaky leakers who just want to be in the spotlight, or someone is pushing Ratts out the door.

One thing is apparent about some of our main men.. tey dont like to accept responsibility when things are going belly up

He basically ripped the stats off Hyde and basically took over. This was the last straw for Hyde.Even if you think he is not coaching well you would probably not make a scene on match day. This has an impact on people around the club particularly the players.

Haha that did not happen. Add that to a million other bullshit stories that came out of the Northern huddles.

Nothing at all happened other than all the coaches hitting the huddles and talking to the various lines with intent.

It is pretty funny when you look at it.! Like a nuclear bomb went off.. who'se decision was it to train at Qatar anyway, results are?
Anyway McKay and Football sub commitee will make a decision on Ratts if we fail to make finals. I like to go a little higher and say Prelim.
