Reckon we have more than a few who rightly or wrongly don't have the confidence of the coaches. Match committee has seemed dysfunctional for a while...not just one man (Brett Ratten), but a few.

Change Brett Ratten now and you're either left with an interim coach not cut out to be a senior coach or you're putting a coach in charge who doesn't have his team with him...he has Brett Ratten's team. The LA Kings put Sutter in charge - but kept Terry Murray's assistants. Sutter didn't have a problem with that when he signed.

I would guess...and I'd only be guessing, that Mick Malthouse wouldn't have a problem working with Gavin Brown and Alan Richardson. But I'd reckon he'd want to bring one more with him. That mightn't suit everyone involved - and in the meantime, you're trying to compete while your assistants and fitness staff put their CV's out to other clubs....remember that Brown and Richardson have hopes of being senior coaches.

If it is Malthouse, and there are strong indicators to think it is, he will want to wait until years end anyway.

Get Russell back in the side and in form so we have more depth, size and run down back. JR is no worse than some of Collingwood's good ordinary defenders and players. Nothing special about Toovey, Buckley and Clarke. Russell could turn it around and become a best 22 player if we lose him for nothing. A player doesn't lose their ability overnight. Walker nearly left after he hit a dry spell two years ago.

Keep favouring players who are hard if you can't separate them at selection.

Play O'Keeffe if he hits form in the VFL and give him games without dropping him after one hit out. We need more muscle, grunt and skill. Don't think you can say with any confidence that Rhys has less talent than Ellard, Curnow or Armfield. ROK Showed OK speed off the mark last year. We lack medium players who go in hard and can kick.

I would like to see a blue police box appear in my study and the Doctor invite me in and take me to whatever the next grand final day it is that we win our next premiership so I can avoid X number of months (optimistic) or years of reading TC and getting comatose and/or depressed

If we're going to get rid of Ratten I'd like to see an actual interview process to appoint the next coach - not just throw cash at Malthouse/Roos/Blight because of their past success.
