The best statement Ratts can make is a presser where he announces his resignation.

Wouldn't really achieve much though would it. Which of the wood ducks sitting upstairs would you have take over - they aren't exactly covering themselves with glory.

Thornton should never have been dropped in the first place. Don't quite understand how you can kick 3 goals and get dropped?

To me it says that Ratten and the MC have a "fixed" opinion on certain players. I put Russell in that category as well.

Well I'm sure the coach factored in the opposition and figured he should have kicked 10....

It was a collective weak effort... BUT for a bloke who is such a 'superstar ' Bryce Gibbs is too worried about his hair style rather than having a *%$#*^ crack... hes the one that should be dropped

OUT - Gibbs, AJ, Russell
IN - Yarran, Thornton and Lucas

Stubborn. Which in my opinion is dumb because it smashes morale. If good players don't think they can get a fair go they'll get angry.

Kreuzer to FF.
Waite to CHB.
Warnock in to share ruck with Hammer.
Thornton in.
Bower out.
Russell out.
Yarran in.
Walker and Judd sharing midfield duties.

The Crows and supporters are up and about. We play like we did last night, and the Crows will do a Geelong on us and smash us by 80 - 90 points. Walker or not, they'll bring back McKernan, and watch Slaone, Danger & Thommo go to town on us.

Sauce will be pumped to show his wares, and they'll target Judd & Murphy and watch us go to water.

Have no confidence at all in this game. Gonna make the week or so after unbearable. Hell I've had Crow mates already offering me tissues for next week....

Can't see us getting close....

I like these, and would put Waite on notice too and tell him he is next if he can't string more than 1 good game together he can play the rest of the year in the 2's.

I would tell any other kid eligible to play on the senior list that there are positions available, earn it and you will be rewarded.

Time is up for the current group, perform or step aside. It is sad that players like Scotland continues to play his heart out each week when others piss around.

Adelaide deciding not to challenge the Walker ban

Must have watched last night and decided he could do with the rest - Carlton will be easy

Guys look flat.
And we dont have enough strong frontline midfielders.Having said that... those StKilda hacks like Armitage Ray etc worked a heap harder than us.

We seemed shell shocked !!!
We are not prepared to do the hard stuff... so we cannot expect to be competitive

StKilda had that game under control from half time on.

It was a mirror of the Essendon* game.

Killed by the small guys
Smashed in the middle.
Annihalated in the clearances.

Only this team had NO CHB and NO ruckman.. !!!

this....lacking midfield depth and grunt.......we have been getting smashed at the clearances......our strength has turned ointo our greatest weakness

and this.......

I think your first 3 on each line will be the changes. Bower might even stay with Duigan making way.

I wouldnt focus too much on individuals though. Just get the mix right in the backline. The team effort and collective decision making that it costing us.
That and the numbers opposition are putting around the ball to stop us moving it the way we want. Coaches need to come up with a new way to move the ball that teams dont know about.

Another thing is that the Crows wont want to adjust their winning formula too much so they may not opt for pushing numbers up around the ball to block our space. That might throw their game off. The middle of the road teams that change their whole game plan and just hunt us are the ones that get us.

Blues by 34.

I think we are more solid with T Bird in.
Having Yaz back will be a relief.

Whats scarier is the knowledge that they aren't....

A bit of a worry that a St.Kilda player said after the game that it was a finals like intensity. They looked way more comfortable with it then Carlton. Going to be a concern if the Crows bring their A game...

Its not so much the player more the type of player for me. We missed a good small backman with clean hands last night. Soon as the ball hit the ground we were super shaky. So Yaz fits the bill plus someone like Saad would have been worried about him more than the other way around.

Bower and/or Duigan dont need to be in the team. Upsets our balance. Too lumbery. Tbird comes into sub. Can give us what we need at either end if there are problems. We can then use another running player early in the game when it is there to be won.

A runwith mid that racks up possessions and has clean hands is needed. Carrazzo fits the bill and he is/was in super touch.
