Do you think we'll drop more than 4 games this year?

FWIW - I've got us dropping to Bombers, Hawks and Pies in two consecutive weeks and then the Saints in final round when we rest half the side.

yep but based on tonight it was hard to be optimistic

games i had us winning before - eg tonight , next week against adelaide, the return leg against st kilda, swans at etihad etc - i cant see us winning

we have been worked out , are soft and still cant play the dome

Looks like it will be a similar year to last year. We were 5 wins and a draw by round 7 and lost round 8.

Then we won 5 out of the next 8 -- we should win at least 4 (Melbourne, Port, Bulldogs and North?) and if we can win one of Geelong (possible), West Coast (hard), Hawthorn (hard), Collingwood (hard), we'll be in much the same position leading into the last 6 games.

Games against Sydney, Richmond are winable. Gold Coast should be a mauling. Who knows about Essendon* by that stage.

By round 15 - ( our 14th game) we could very well be 7 and 7 based on last nights perfomance

12 wins the last few years would have gotten you into about 6th-7th spot. Amazing you could finish 10th with that amount this year.

ive changed my mind on a few teams this week - some teams have dropped dramatically which gave us some wins i had us as losing before

oh the hilarity - we were missing the 8 last week , now we are back to top 4

Adelaide 19-3
West Coast 18-4
Collingwood 18-4
Carlton 16-6
Essendon* 15-7
Geelong 15-7
Sydney 14-8
Richmond 13-9
---------------------------
Hawks 13-9
Saints 13-9
Freo 11-11
North 9-13
Dogs 8-14
Lions 5-17
Port 4-18
Giants 4-18
Gold Coast 2-20
Melbourne 1-21

you know what would suck about that top 4

two away finals

I'll worry about away finals when we get there.

I like your optimism, but winning only one of those will be a miracle at the moment.

If we can concentrate on getting our injuries right, i reckon we have a healthy shot at being the dominant team in the second half of the year.

Just think for a moment............
I know that Melbourne game was god-awful. However we were without Murphy + Waite + Yarran + Hendo + Laidler + Carrazzo. It certainly makes a difference.

We play Port (should win), then Geelong (50/50) then West Coast (doubtful) then it's the break. So fingers crossed, after the break, we could have AC/Laidler/Hendo/Yazz & Waite back from injury with (hopefully) Murphy some 4 weeks after that.

i thought that last week too but

swans are shit in melbourne - will be tough but we could do it
north are pea hearts
dogs are better than i thought but we should still be too strong
bombers will be waning by then - we will have players back
hawks - well, its time - they have looked average this year , richmond showed how its done

you fail to calculate the Etihad factor
Swans may be shit in Melbourne but only at the G
North are pea hearts but we play them at Etihad
Same applies to dogs

those three worry me more than Hawks and Essendon* game

Playing Etihad is now worse than playing interstate. Maybe we should have more training sessions there??

I think this might belong in the Unicorns and Rainbows thread unfortunately.
