All CFC fans should see now how important Carrots n Armfield are to the side.

Inaccurate to most extents. Curnow is quicker than Ellard by a fair margin, runs out games better and is a longer kick of the footy. Ellard is probably more accurate kick within a 35 m range and has a nose for goal, but is less capable of running both ways.

Unless he is able to keep up with the pace of the game for 80+% of the game time, he's a liability IMO, and that makes him a depth player. That being said, I'd call him up this week if he weren't only on his second game back after missing about 8 weeks of footy (I think).

Like this. That's what I'd do though not sure they'd want to make three changes.

Ridiculous comment
Let's just stay in melb and tell the afl freo can have four pts

Yep, good idea. Cant get anymore injuries that way.

Curnow would be close tO the worst kick at the club n your deluded if you thInk he is quicker than Ellard.

Bower? Stiff IMHO

Bower sheets himself under pressure just kicks blindly
And has no idea how to play fwd
Can't understand why TBird got dropped unless it was to give PB some games n try n extract some form n confidence from the lad

Didn't see this happening, but he did get caught working some 1-2s with Jamison at times, but I would be looking to blame Jamison more, as Bower was buying him space to execute (which is why he 'runs around like a headless chook' as some like to call it). There seems to be a lot you don't understand about football until someone points it out to you...

Curnow is quicker than Ellard; that is not even disputable if you're actually watching for it.

Thornton (yes in a very strange way) is one of the most important players we have. Why the f&*k was he ever dropped? Can play forward and back, is a good contested mark and kicks alright. anyway, shattered by the loss -piss weak effort, can empathise totally with those venting. Let's load up again and beat Freo next week FFS.

Sandilands will be a huge factor.
Hes gunna smash us in the ruck.
The guy doesnt jump.. he doesnt need to.So he doesnt need to recover.
What StKilda did was rove to his tapping last night.
If he gets 70% of tappouts youre not going to rove to your 30% right?
Youll rove to him and thats exactly what we have to do.
He is also a legend footballer cos he runs to the half back flank and takes a mark from a kickout.
Or goes forward and takes a strong mark.
Either way the guy id their most importsnt player.

Barltow and Mundy didnt star in the clearances... but theyre coming good.Theyre moving well and just touch from being really good players again. Need to blow the cobwebs off.
I think teams give Ballentyne too much credibility .Just treat him like any other hack for Gods sake!
Hill showed signs.
They lack forwards without Fyffe and relying on the big Pavlova and Zac Clarke for some cameos.
Jack Anthony bagged a couple but it was on Simpkin who is just learning his trade.

You can bet the Lyon uber flood will be up next week.... something we have to work through.
Personally more defenders.. we need to have more midfielders as balance.

Clearances will be crucial.
StKilda squandered their chances.
The crowd helps them grow another leg so that needs to be hushed early.

Cant see much that can hurt us other than Sandilands and the flood.
Its another game we cant afford to drop if we want to make the four.

if they bring that shit to perth the bogan wharfies will kill em

Ellard and Joseph in particular don't mind the niggle so would be good ins for Carrots and Curnow/McLean.

Ratts says everyone bar Carrots is OK but i don't buy that tbh. I'd swap Laidler for Thornton and give him a week or two off. Russell can come in for Yaz. Not sure how sore Armfield is but would have him over McLean in a heartbeat at Subiaco. We have the depth but the depth players just need to prove they can step in to the role.

Would also consider Warnock for Hampson who did @#$%&! all today.

This is the first crucial, must win game oif the year
Large expanses suits us, but Lyon will close us down
I think it's time for Ratten to talk to Garlett and tell him it is time he stood up and be more than a bit part, flashy player
He is the one who hasn't gone fwds

The flood/counter tactics will be employed by Lyon and his Dockers. We struggle against such tactics. That and the players we will be missing i cant see us getting over the dockers in WA.

We should be well placed to rack up a few wins in the month that follows this weeks freo game.

I'm sure some people have missed this over the last 18 hours, but the next person who decides to legitimately antagonise another poster because he cannot deal with their football rationale in the wake of a loss will be banned for 24 hours.

You are welcome to brush off a narky comment by all means, but do not wander in and make personal attacks or get over-zealous dismissing another person's view. If they were completely wrong you wouldn't even need to dismiss them, so accept they bring something to the table and discuss, because that is exactly why this forum is here.

Wonder if the Sandilands factor brings about the need for 3 ruckmen?

We were exposed for extra run yesterday, and the bigger ground may highlight this further. On the other hand, we also needed an extra target up forward.

If the MC think that Kreuzer offers more up forward than Thornton or Bower/Jamo, then its probably worth a look.
