I'll leave that to the rest of those who are concerned about such things. :smoking:

Agree with you ... with one exception ... and we all know what that is .... under real pressure ... he will create many opportunities for the opposition.

Other than that ... I am relieved to say ... I was wrong.

Pros:
- Four points, and end to the preseason BS, and the Tigers faithful back to reality
- Great games from GIBBS and Murph, and Kreuz is a @#$%&! machine
- YARRRRAAAAANNNN!!!!
- Improved marking and kicking from Hammer (albeit on less than stellar opposition)
- Good return for Bower, and the backline functioned well in the absence of key personnel
- The work of Robbo, Curnow and Carrots in the middle
- The usual reliability of K-Dog and Scotland
- Kane has done enough to go into next week without the subs vest IMO
- Lachie performed very well again, save for 1-2 brain-fades

Cons:
- Kicking for goal. STILL an issue, and if we want a flag, we need to fix this shit.
- Falling asleep for 10-15 min patches. Another ongoing problem that needs to go away for us to genuinely compete.
- Waite's continued brain-fades
- JR is completely out of confidence, and we're not in a position where we can carry him
- Letting Grigg kick two goals

I was never worried about the above issues but don't you think making a comment that all these concerns are dismissed after only one game against "Richmond" are just as much a knee jerk reaction?

I was very happy with last night but there is a long long way to go.

Nah, I see it as a pro (of sorts). It's us talking Grigg up to Richmond, and letting them think they got a class player from us. It's a version of the old rope-a-dope....

Pros.

Players who have been stifled by injuries over the past few years having the opportunity to show their ability/potential-

Bower
Lucas
Kruezer

All showed class and skill.

Cons-

The usual suspects missing easy set shots for goal. HTFU.
The coverage by Channel 7. absolutely abysmal camera work

Smurph and GIBBS both looking big and strong, massive mature bodies, not the boys they were a couple of seasons back.

He was under real pressure most of the night. Please back down on this one, as you have nothing but an overly general statistic in the win-loss ratio to back up your view. That goes double for kk.

Pros : Laidler, Hendo and Bower down back
Armfield's work rate, Simpson too.
Hammer's last half forward work
Murphy's 11 & 11, last two qtrs
KROOOOOOOOZZZZZZ
Tigers cue in rack for 2012
Still Walker, Jamison, Duigan, Warnock, to come back.

Cons:
Clearances especially in first half, zero defensive mids
Deliberate Out of bounds paid on Yarran's left foot down members wing.

Nice one tekno, Jack is Fevola MkII. Brilliant at times, unstoppable even. A heavy weight dragging the club down at others.

On the plus side, the newer version seems to at least keep it in his pants.

x 2

Cons
- To beat the top sides we can't afford to be so wasteful, particularly from set shots.
- Robbo and Scotland didn't play all that well IMO. Hopefully JR can rediscover his 2010 form soon.

Every single Round 1 they @#$%&! it up.

The crush to get in because there were no eastbound trains therefore Platform 9/10 was full was ridiculous.

Then the train I got (southeastern) wasn't even a footy special and was already jammed.

Fkn Metro.

All the trains from Flinders to Jolimont were running through the loop. They throw a few direct every Friday night during the season... what's wrong with doing it that one Thursday?

It caused a nightmare outside Flinders St as everyone tried to get on a tram that was already full.

 JR may well go back to VFL level at some stage, but someone else has mentioned Ratten mentioned Russell as being part of a back six who did their job on the night.

Someone has to be subbed off, it wasn't because Ratten 'realised that Jordan Russell is absolute poison' so I don't think he's going to remember this.

 Good to see you turn up and have another shot at Bower when he's had a good game.

I can see why you keep persisting though, you've been shown to be a poor judge in the past, this is your chance to come back at some stage and gloat about 'being right' if Bower has a poor game. If its not a poor game it'll be a poor quarter, or a poor contest.

Good luck with that!

Pro. HAMMER. Could be the difference this year. Just a couple of moments that made me think he is finally realising what he is capable of

Encouraging cos he looked like he was enjoying himself and doing well.
But put a lid on it... that Richmond defence has probably played 80 games between their entire back 6.

Besides Newman that's about right! Hope Hammer can keep it going
