I like some of Armfields work, but ideally someone will force him out of the side for us to prove.

Pretty sure i heard Greg Swan this morning say Watson would also miss this game. Did not hear a mention of a replacement.

A little off topic but I also heard Swanny say that the blues have permission and will be streaming next weeks game in maroochydore back to the Carlton website as fox is not showing the game.
Awesome concept and gives us diehards something to watch....... And no Derwayne!

   :thanks:

Derwayne, or Derwood, as I like to call him..or maybe Dunderhead....
anyway...he might not make it til the end of the season. There is a Kelly Underwood clause that can be actioned if enough people dissent, and march to City Hall.

Strangely enough, Watsn was named in the best in 1 of the games last week. A bit of unfair pressure on the kid, as he needs to learn a fair bit more but I don't think he's had the luxury of being the 3rd defender in any of the games played, or having the better support of Jamison to assist the back half in any of his games. Patience req'd and what better than the NAB Cup before ironing out whatever deficiencies in the VFL.......though the need for a backup defender to step up looks ominous with Jamison's track record.

Armfield, seen better efforts from him but let's not forget it's the 1st hitout for the year etc etc over 4-5 months pre-season training efforts that coaches will take into account. I thought Joseph was just as ordinary and he is/was supposed to be training the house down.
Army will be high in the thoughts to line up on Jake King or Nahas for Rnd 1. He still has his speed and hard at it attitude.

He would be thrashed in a third defender's role. Physically too big and not quick enough to do anything other than play KPD if he gets his body right.

You turn on your television and turn the channel over to FoxFooty, right? Because any other advice displayed publicly would be in breach of forum rules.

Is this a twilight match?

For some reason I thought it was starting at 2.40. Got a couple of extra hours to kill now.

Go Blues!
