Coming off the bye, late replacements, players injured, nothing to play for, (unlike the Saints) don't know we should get too carried away with this result.

One thing that does worry me though is we play a fast, high possession game which depends on accurate disposal, under pressure in big games this can break down. Then there's our kicking for goal.... Jeeze, I'm so sick of bemoaning our foot skills.

Ah well, on to next week. We'll beat the Gliders, not sure how much further we'll go though.

Has Joseph got anything too worry about regarding standing on the Tip Rats hand?

Hope kreuz is ok, hospital doesn't sound good.

Unfortunately we are simply not at a level of maturity to pick and choose when we go 100%.

By next week we'll be a month without a win. They are going to have to show a hell of a lot more next than what they've seen fit to display the last two games if they intend to be anything more than finals fodder.

If we've got anyone over 190cm who can take a mark we will need them next week. Betts garlett and walker have gone completely missing, and reinforcing external perceptions in the process.

42 tackles says it all. We played bruise free and nearly won

The drop off in intensity was noticeable from the top level in the second half.

Some positives:

- Good return by Kane
- Hendo has shown once and for that he BELONGS at CHB
- Simpson was a warrior as always
- The Irishman gave us much-needed presence up front
- Duigan and Laidler are a great double-act
- AJ, Touhy and Armfield never gave up

A jab to make his numb foot number? Or one in the other foot so both were numb?

rubbish that we had nothing to play for tonight.

after the hawks loss, the bye granted us time to reassess and get ready for the finals. with respect to mindset, our finals should have started tonight. if we are going to win a flag this year, their collective mindset should be about winning every game. full stop!

We aren't going to win the Flag.....goodness me.....delusional....

I can't ....etc... :banghead: :banghead:

I want us to win
and especially when it's frickin' saint kilda with frickin' milnee.

We better win next week or I'm gonna whack the lot of 'em with my pink girlie handbag.

Still..did really enjoy the 1st half.

Yep it was pretty obvious at the game. We put the cue in the rack after half time. I am sure they didnt collectively decide to do that
but its what happened. Never seen so many 4 on 1's (except in last nights pies v cats game). Our players just stopped running and the Perverts starting running harder because they had so much to play for.

We will smash the Dons next week.

I hope it's as simple as flicking the switch next week and bringing our A game.

Apparently all of a sudden that can happen.

When it was Hawthorn resting half their team, or Filth losing by 16 goals, it couldn't be done.

Poor conversion makes such an enormous difference. We had ample opportunities to put the game beyond them and we failed to do so with poor decision making, average skill and poor composure.
Next week we'll hopefully come out and kick straight, put scoreboard pressure on the Dons and have a good win.

Eddie and Jiffy should have a few sleepless nights.

- Is anyone else concerned that Walker, Eddie and Garlett have all gone missing both against the Hawks and Aints.
- Again, poor kickingfor goal and poor decision making let us down. It cost us against the Hawks, against the Scum earlier in the year, against the Filth (6 posters) and against the Dogs when we didnt put them away when we had the chance.
- Garlett in particular continues to play in an almost flower manner that isnt paying off. It seem that in his eyes, all about Jeffy G rather then team first. Yazz also tries to be a hero with the ball and runs into trouble too often. Seems like he's been hanging around Jeffy G too much.
- We continue to not provide support for Judd, and the good teams know this at blanket him out of the game.
- If Setants is dropped after kicking 4 goals today, then serious questions need to be asked.
- If Kreuz is not 100 % after tonights injury, dont play him next week. Same with Jamo and Waite. The worst thing we can do in a final is play with half fit injured players.
- The Scum would be licking their chops after our soft display tonight. Hope we can turn things around and wipe the smug smirks right off those arrogant faces of theirs.

yes indeed Dom. it also seemed to me that when Jeff missed that sitter in the first qtr that the team deflated a little.

that kid could be a star, but sometimes i wonder what goes through his head when he plays on

it also seems to me that if you play a tall on betts, he struggles.

over a season, teams get good looks at other teams and can work them out if they are smart. with a lack of a regular tall, those 3 are our main scorers, so it makes sense to put the effort into shutting them down. stop the score, and the less you need to do to win.

we will still spank the bombers
