Agree we should win our last 3 games which means if Hawks stumble we could pinch their spot....we deserve to finish top four and will do so IMO....

Providing we win all our games...

- both Dawks and WC have to drop a game for us to finish 3rd
- at least one has to drop a game for us to finish 4th

...otherwise it's 5th place for us and most likely Essendon* in week one and WC in Perth in week two.

If we lose to the Scum in week one, seriously - heads must roll. Getting ahead of myself I know, but this is what I fear most of all. We've had a great year and deserve at least prelim.

On the bright side to finishing 5th is that both round's 23 & 24 could effectively become bye's seeing we can't finish any lower. Rest whoever needs resting, play whoever needs playing and hit the finals full of running.

We will win a final because this is the meager goal set by the club....after that it becomes doubtful....really hope the belief is growing within the group now that a massive opportunity is there just waiting to be taken....

Why do you believe Sydney will finish higher?

no rhyme or reason - it's written in the stars - we all know it will happen - we know it will

Becuase it's Sunday and I've got spare time.

Both Sydney and Essendon* are on 38 points.

Swans play Richmond (MCG), St Kilda (ANZzzzzz), Geelong (Skilled) and Lions (Gabba).

Bummers have Bulldogs (Etihad), WC (Perth), Port (Etihad) then a bye.

What I think.
Both teams will win 2 more games and finish on 46 points. Swans will likely finish 7th, above Essendon* in 8th, by % as they are 8% up.

Freo are on 36 points and they have us (Perth), Norf (Etihad), Collingwood (Perth) and Bulldogs (Etihad).
They will have to win 3 games to finish above Essendon* and Sydney, so if we beat them next week and Essendon* and Sydney win they are basically gawn.

I know, it's bloody well killing me. North is the latest team to tease us today - in front at the 28 minute mark of the last quarter against the Hawks, to add to West Coast's escapes against the Dogs, Dockers and (to a lesser extent) Cats.

I've stopped getting angry and I now laugh.

Tigers will probably hit the front with 50 seconds on the clock today, just to keep the gag going.

Time to let go of the conspiracy theories....

I think we have to now resign ourselves to the fact that we've lost a double chance.

Just goes to show that those one or two off-days you might have DO affect things later on. It could serve as a pretty effective learning experience for the boys for next year you'd hope.

After winning last night and North going down today I agree. I think we'll be playing Essendon* in an elimination final week 1.

Please, Please,,,,,we cannot lose to the Scum if we play them in the Finals.

The amount of shit that I hung on all the scum's out there when we flogged them a few weeks ago,
esp thanking them for giving Walker MOTY.

My FB page went into overload with all the picks of Walker and his mark.

I'll put money on that they will use the 99 Prelim as their source of revenge and motivation.

So lets finish 4th !!!!!!!

I'd rather finish 6th, not 5th. At least we would play in melbourne if we win week 1. I would tank to the saints r24 if we know it's impossible to make 4th. (as long as we dont finsh 7th if we lose too). But screw all this, we're going to finish 3rd, the hawks and eagles will drop a game somewhere. Beat the cats week 1, pump eagles in the prelim and beat the pies by 1 point in the Grand Final. Done and dusted.

After this weekend's results I expect us to be 5th and we will play at the 'G and will smash whoever we play - even the scum.

Week 2 we will be heading to Subi which, with its wide open spaces, I think actually suits us better than playing at Etihad.

Our next two games will be at the 'G ending with what, I think, will be our first October premiership
