No change unless Carazzo is ready to come in. In which case bring him in for Houlihan. Davies to sub.

The Dees will obviously be a rather demoralised and dispirited team after their efforts today.

But where does that Geelong Melbourne match (a very generous description) sit in terms of record scores and/or a record victory ?

Missed both equalling the highest score ever kicked and the biggest winning margin ever by one goal.

I think they may not be doing much big noting to the media this week, about proving their a tough non-bruise free side, might ring a bit hollow.

Jimmae, when was the last week you hadn't advocated Ellard's omission?

Every week, you bring out that old chestnut, even after we've won by 100+.. did he run over your cat or something?

About round 12. I haven't been impressed with his chasing, his clearance work and his link-play in that time. He needs to pick maybe 2 out of the 3 and stick to it once he's fit again, because there's no use being 3rd or 4th to the ball so much, or not pushing into space quickly enough.

I'm not questioning his character, or anything of that nature, just the nature of his output over the last 2 months.

LUCAS & AUSTIN
I just can't see why some people keep backing Lucas & Austin.
Lucas looks like an ordinary VFL player at the moment, IMO. I reckon he will have to do something pretty awesome to elevate himself back into seniors contention, even for next year.
Austin is honest and puts in effort but more often than not he 'almost' does something good but is left on the deck while his opponent runs off or dishes off, which is pretty much how he has performed at senior level too.

RUSSELL & SETANTA
Rhys-Jones said today that Russell might have requested to go back to get his confidence up. Not sure he did enough today.
Setanta was good but I think he needs to string a few together before he comes back into contention.

WARNOCK
Interesting Robbo comment in the Herald-Sun today re Warnock. After pointing out that Goldstein dominated the hitouts but Kruezer quelled his influence somewhat around the ground when he played on him, a separate paragraph noted that "Warnock seemed overwhelmed." I thought Warnock was a bit better than that last night but he still seems to be behind Hampson's pre-injury form. He needs to get a harder, more competitive edge. He should be marking many more of the contested marks he goes for. I get the feeling he has lost confidence since his concussion, maybe a bit like Cloke after he was punched out...

AGAINST THE DEES
We need to be ruthless. I don't care if they were thumped by 457pts today, we need to go out there hard as nails. I would only bring back fit players. If Carrazzo is right, he should come in provided he has been able to keep fit. Would rather we keep returnees out a week longer than rushing them back in. Am a bit concerned that Jamo & Waite will come back in without being match fit. I really don't want them getting injured again and, if not fit, fatigue may increase the chances of re-injury.

I'm glad that Geelong went on with the job today.

15-20 goals and its something where questions are asked, team are steeled towards turning around.

A record loss like that and that's culture destroying. Look at the list of teams who've been belted by similar margins, and see if you can find their next GF appearance (even finals are ages away). That sort of a loss isn't turned around overnight, and I don't think it will within a week of football.

You won't be seeing JR for several weeks by the look of the ice-pack on this thigh from 3rd q on and the way he hobbled to the rooms afterwards.

Is Todd's boy allowed to play yet? First game as Coach and Player for a Father Son combination? The AFL should let it happen.

Im sure Robbo is crapping his dacks at the thought of big tough 'Beamer' Molloney (more like a Datsun then a Beamer), Jordie McKenzie or Jacquiline Watts coming his way...

From the HUN:

Ratten confirming that Carrazzo was almost certain to return for Saturday's match against Melbourne

Nah, he's too busy bashing on his drum kit and chasing after tennis balls at the park to worry about next weekend

Unfortunately these guys are going to be galvanised following their capitulation against Geelong, although they simply won't have the cattle to really worry us....

I'd like to see Henderson used more as a swing man rather than just a pure backman because Melbourne simply don't have any forwards of note and we shouldn't forget Henderson's education as a CHF (I haven't written this off yet despite good performances in the backline).

McLean will be better for the run and should improve on this week in and week out as he slowly re-adjusts to AFL level - perfect timing for the end of the season as we will need him.

I don't think they have the leadership to be galvanized after that result.

Something is seriously wrong to lose by that much at AFL level.

You have to wonder what is going on.

I think Bailey will coach out the year still. Melbourne might beat GC and Richmond and that's about it.
