NO. On form he's struggling to hold his spot in the Bullants' firsts.

Whats the go with Watson? is he a chance to get some more game time in the 1s? I think we need to build the defence a bit more, granted the core of our defence was out yesterday I think watson will be a key in the future!

I doubt you will see him in the ones this year. The club are easing him into it. He still gets a weeks rest every 3 similar to McCarthy. He has a lot to learn.

In particular about giving and receiving body contact.

Yet, just a couple of months ago, he was considered to be in the club's best 22.

It was a mistake throwing Matthew to the wovles against Collingwood. Sending him to the GC was a good way to get a feel for senior footy, but it was totally unfair to throw him on Cloke and Dawes the week after.

Yeah, that was quite humiliating for him that night..

He was ineffectual.

He isnt an inside mid and didnt get enough of the ball as a release/link player . 12 possessions just isnt enough from someone who is part of the midfield rotation.

Imo, he shouldnt of played due to heavy concussion last week. I seem to recall a few years back that players had to automagically miss a week if they were knocked out?

Which is even more reason why Carazzo needed to step up and Gibbs play in the middle.

All this. Ellard was really poor.
Carazzo has had a really good month, but he was shocking yesterday. I don't know why he wasn't sent to Kerr for the whole game :?
Jamo getting injured made it much harder for us to move Gibba into the guts

In: Waite, Robbo, Curnow
Out: Jamo (inj), Armfield, Houlihan?

B: Touhy Thornton O'Keefe
HB: Yarran Waite Gibbs
C: Simpson Curnow Scotland
HF: Garlett Henderson Russell
F: Betts Kruezer Walker
Foll: Warnock Judd Murphy
Int: Ellard Robinson Carrazzo Austin/Duigan

If Duigan is ready he will replace Aussie.
Houlihan could stay in ahead of Curnow or even Ellard

Duigan was in the Cotery room yesterday & said he'll probably miss 2 weeks with a calf likewise Curnow.

In Waite, Robbo & Bower
Out Austin, O'Keefe & Hoops

If thats the case then:

In: Waite, Robbo
Out: Jamo (inj), Armfield

B: Touhy Thornton O'Keefe
HB: Yarran Waite Gibbs
C: Simpson Ellard Scotland
HF: Garlett Henderson Russell
F: Betts Kruezer Walker
Foll: Warnock Judd Murphy
Int: Houlihan Robinson Carrazzo Austin

Bower is struggling with injury so cant see him playing.

Not sure if Gibbs to the middle would have helped Whistler. He is not that good in the midfield unless he has a runwith type role. Could have put him on Kerr perhaps.
