Waite looked like hammy twinge/tightness to me, he pulled up a little lame running the ball over the boundary on the outer wing in the 3rd? term, but played on.

jamo got his foot caught under an opponent early on and his ankle rolled outwards.

robbo got mild concussion and played better from then on in

russell really "cracked in" when the game was all over which was fantastic.

walker = game breaker

garlett looks lowish on confidence and still kicked 4

hammer looks so clumbsy but was easily his best game.

for me i reckon kruze to take the setanta role and hammer and warnock go head to head for the number 1 role - with warnock the preference.

how good was mitch robinson tonight!

this team has serious potential and a fantastic ruthless attitude.

They are playing for the coach and each other.

wonderful season to date - must really press home in the next 5 weeks with a seemingly favorable draw.

Have all come into the side or have improved
our skills by foot are better and we are harder at the contest.
need hendo and kreuz back in the team. i would play kreuzer ahead of Hampson and Warnock

Gameplan is getting closer to unbreakable too. Still need to pass a few more tests but for now we seemed pretty will drilled and come out on top more times than not even when not doing the basics that well.

I am nervous about the mix of talls and running players being interupted with Kreuzer and Henda ready for selection. Also Thorntons form cant be ignored. Bower may come in and play Laidlers role as a flanker.

If bower and yaz can develop an understanding of one another we can really have an attacking defense without the being over the top.

Carlos will have to make way for K and Henda will have to wait his turn but he is in smashing form at VFL level.

Happy with Hampsons game tonight. He needs to just forget about marking and make sure the rest of his game is in order. From there the marks will come. No chance K will play a full game as no 1 ruck in the next 2 months.

Ratts Presser:

Execution before 1/2 time poor
Not the right set ups at stoppages
Closed up space in 2nd 1/2.
Maturity of the group
Hendo, Kreuz Hoops Bower avail. if req
Not sure on Jammo & Waite (ABC said both iced up, Waite tight in groin  )
1AW has more confidence as he has his position
Yaz finess level improved. Had to be paitient with him. Enormous taleny
Group were selfish in 1st half

Usual week to week bullshit

We have attained KPI's nearly every week except for filth game

Did OK but that number is boosted because brogan hyperextended his knee early in the game and could barely jump at all from there on

true but he did seem to handle and mark the ball much better than he has. big negative on his game was that he gave away too many needless frees

According to Ratten (interview post-game on Foxtel) - Jamo (ankle) should be OK for next week, and Waite came off with 'tightness' (region unspecified) and will have to be monitored this week.

Hopefully they are both OK, but if they don't come up, it could be the break that Bower & Hendo need....

Geez, it's good to have some depth at last! :thanks:

Good win.
Pressure better in second half
Robbo & Walker fantastic. Both have stepped up this year.
Won without Judd dominating.
Don't like that we seem to play injured players. Russell looked to be struggling. Would it have hurt to give him week off?

For mine,it was Hammer's coming of age game.Fantastic game.In the first half we were shaky, but Hammer was superb and completely dominated Brogan who is a great warrior for that club.

No doubt that helped but he had double brogans hitouts & around same number of possessions before brogan injured his knee

2nd half = great

Hope Jamo comes up next week as he is probably the one guy in the team who is irreplaceable at the moment.

Can't see Thornton or Bower being big enough or strong enough to match up with Brown next week, although that said, I think Thornton has been very good the last few weeks and fully deserves to be in the side.

Best option if Jamo does miss may well be Setanta.

Thanks for the Hammer reports.

We must be near on unbackable favorites for the flag if Keogh can't find anything negative to say.

i thought we just looked so much fitter than Port. even in the first half we were running the quarters out better and the second half was embarrassing almost.

Ruthless!
