Why are some of you in here so fascinated with Hampson???

He cant mark the ball. When he does mark it, he cant kick the bloody thing!!!

He's been on our list for 5 years now...how much more development does he need?

At this current rate, he wont be ready to pay till he's 30.

GET RID OF HIM!!!

If you watched a single minute of the pre-season you'd know that something is off with him at the moment. Could have played for the Bullants today; didn't. Think about it.

He's got a plate and three screws in his finger! Leave him alone!

I recently (6mths ago) dislocated my ring and middle finger on 1 hand (middle knuckles), not a serious injury, but let me tell you if Hammer has sustained a serious finger injury recently, to criticise his marking - of which we all saw improvement in earlier in the season - then you haven't really got a clue!!

To play and even attempt to mark with a hand in that condition, so soon after the initial injury, is not only very courageous but worthy of admiration - not derision.

What we know is Hammer gets to a lot of contests and will continue to improve as a player - How many games has he played again??

He is a definate keeper and will show his value.

Didn't a finger injury prematurely end the great Sticks' career?
I think he said at the time he was embarrassed to use it as an excuse because it was affecting his marking ability.

Perhaps we could get Paul Salmon down to the club to teach Hammer how to become a 6'10" leading ff goliath

I was at the SCG on Friday night and had the opportunity to speak with Hammer before the game. In his own words when I asked him why he wasn't suited up, he said "They dont want me to play because of the rain". Read into this whatever you like... He was clearly upset to be left out and looked even more concerned after the game after the performance by Irish.

IMO I would rest him for a couple weeks and he will get another oppotunity soon because we all know that unfortunately Irish can't play consistantly over a long period.
