That's all Judd needed to nail that goal.

Despite carrying many who are out of form and/or turned in poor performances we didn't lose.
Monfries wasn't rewarded for diving.
Duigan.

Con:

Should beat teams who lose two players early, although the sub rule did as intended and narrowed our advantage.
Inaccuracy at goal early.
The media will continue their Essendon* lovefest.
The empty feeling that is unique to a drawn game.

It's an odd feeling isn't it?

I still think drawn games should be kept in the H&A season.

they can @#$%&! right off in the GF though!

Pros: Essendon* didn't win

Cons: Hampson, Henderson and Collins were woeful.

Back on topic...

Pro
We didn't lose
Jamo/Duigan/Yarran/White in the backline
Murphy
Simmo's goals
New guys Curnow/Duigan/Laidler
Hendo won't play that badly again
Could possibly (hopefully) be our worst game for the year

Cons
Walker as sub, he should have started on
Subbing Hendo off, he was bad but not as bad as Collins
Collins
Carrazzo
Jeffy playing on
Waite kicking backwards
Everyone kicking it to Fletcher
Not tagging Fletcher with Robbo
The forwardline
We didn't win, and Essendon* are shit and had 2 knee injuries :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
The Cons massively out-weigh the Pros

"One does not have to know the solution to know there is a Problem."

" if one ignores the problem one doesn't need a solution.... "

One does not have the luxury of saying one thing without being able to articulate the other. To do otherwise is foolhardy. :screwy:

The SOLUTION to a failed coach is a new coach. To find that new coach, you undertake a well designed interview process. To suggest that one can't identify failure without first knowing who the replacement is, is strange. CFC knew who Brittain's replacement was before he was sacked. CFC knew who Pagan's replacement was before he got sacked. Were they the "solution"?

Now, can we pleeeeeease have an interview process next time?

In AFL you generally do not have the luxury of knowing beforehand who is the "solution" to the "problem". You decide it's time for a change, then you figure it out.

PS I'm not saying definitively that Ratten is a failed coach. But we do have a problem :donk:

Con: We didn't exactly drive a nail into the coffin that many of us think the scum will be lying in at season's end. One more point and their slide was in motion.

Pros - our terrible coach managed to draw level with the supercoaches at Essendon*.
- Duigan was brilliant..Towelled up Monfries and even when Monfries took a dive in the first qtr, he managed to avoid giving the free kick away
- Yarran
- Murphy/Curnow
- White/Jamo smashed Ryder/Hurley..so much for the lack of key position players for us

Cons - Stupid football... how many times did we just bomb it into forward 50 especially in the 1st qtr.
- Simpsons clanger..
- Worst of all, we will have to listen to the media talking about how they played with 2 less players for the whole game..despite the new rules being broought in to ensure this isnt as much as a disadvantage as previous seasons. make no mistake, thye were the ones hanging on, and we were the only ones who were going to win
- Our kicking for goal again let us down (Gibbs, Collins (2), Garlett all missed sitters)

- Also did anyone else notice how the ball bounced there way every single time... Even in the last when Curnow(?) smothered the ball, it somehow bouonced away into Hurley's arms who was trailing his opponent. It seemed like it was going to be one of those days...

I would have taken a draw at quarter time - we were deplorable.
Curnow is a fantastic pick-up
Duigan finally showing somethin
Simmo has been quiet this season but was inspirational today despite his stuff-up at the end
Robbo - not the most gifted player but will not die wondering if he could have tried harde
Waite
Murphy - great performance

CONS
Bomber fans and Meeja sympathisers claiming moral victory for their "brave effort"
Key forwards (ie Hendo) being unable to take a mark.
A few "senior" players like Betts & Gibbs going missing when the tough stuff is required.
Collins - what an absolute walking disaster this kid is - Magoos until he is able to prove himself please.

Pro;

GC game not included, we actually haven't played a decent 4 qtrs yet.

Perhaps we're better than we thought

Pros:

We didn't lose!!
Yarran
Backline in general
Waite lifted 2nd half

Cons:
Betts (was he playing?)
Henderson - first game back so struggled with thepace
Collins struggling atm
Forward line in general - either distribution in awful or forwards not creating target. Couldn't take a mark in the first half. Better in the second.
