Application: Mail

Problem: I'll try to key this brief. We are Premium Reserve seat holders on level 2 in the pockets at Etihad & MCG - group of 5 & group of 4. Submitted all 9 applications together on Nov 29th requesting that we move across closer to flank or wing if seats became available. I wrote a letter & attached to the forms, making it very clear that we don't expect all 9 to be together but so long as within next few bays of each other, that would be OK. I also made it clear that we would be happy for 5 to move one year & 4 the next, if that improved our chances of obtaining better seat position towards wing. I stated that i understoodhow difficult it was to get a group of 5 or 4 together in improved seats & that we would even consider moving groups of 2 or 3 per year, again, if that improved our chances of eventually obtaining seats on the wing for all 9 in our group within a few years. By the end of Jan, I still had not heard back so rang the club. They said they're still working through it, and to wait 2 weeks. I rang 2 weeks later & was told someone would call me in a week or so. I waited another 1 week & still no news. Rang the club & was told I'd hear back very soon. I was worried our request for seat change had been lost in the system, so sent an email to membership email address. I received an email reply the following day, that because we wanted all 9 seats together, it would be impossible to get level 2 seats on flank or wing, but they could put us on the top deck (which is where we'd come from 2 years ago). Very clear that they ignored my letter. Total incompetence!!!!!!!!!!

For some reason it is not possible to join the Captains Club over the internet. As you can see by following the below link, the page is a dead end.
http://www.carltonfc.com.au/membership/ ... fault.aspx

Of course calling the club wasn't wasn't easy either... first I was put on hold indefinitely... then I was hung up on!
So my two points are:

1. The online membership section is poorly designed, unclear and incomplete. Check out what our competitors are capable of producing:
http://membership.hawthornfc.com.au/
http://membership.collingwoodfc.com.au/

2. Whoever answers the phones should sound and act professional. They should know how to use the phone system (not leave people on hold or accidentally hang up on them). They should also sound polite and professional, and be knowledgeable about the club, memberships, seating arrangements etc. Unfortunately my experiences have been of incompetence and amateurism. This would not be tolerated in the business world and it should not be tolerated at CFC.

Sort it out Carlton.

Round 2.

This is ridiculous

membership@carltonfc.com.au

I'd want to get a response pretty quickly.

For AFL Members, packs should be out next week.

Apparantly they come via the AFL.

Me and my daughter got our AFL members pack yesterday.
it came via the AFL, it's true.
So rather than the AFL supply carlton a list of Carlton club supprt members, Carlton sends membership packs to the AFL for them to distribute them. Does anyone think this is a shit way to do it??

I remember not receiving my members pack till late last year (but not this late and am AFL member).
I emailed the AFL to see what was going on and was told it was the club's responsibility.

I believe they're coming from the AFL, but I also believe the delay is due to the club getting the packs to the AFL.

I asked who was responsible for the delay, but the girl didn't cover that.

buzz, its a shizened way of doing it.

Carlton should seriously consider to Gold Member lottery Like what the Hawkes announced on the Footy Show. I thought it was an awesome idea.

Great idea, but we can't get what we have in place now right. What chance would we have of introducing a gold member lottery without ballsing it up?

I never got my cap tokens so I phoned the club and they said I could pick up at the ground at Gate 3.

Went there and explained the situation and they said they said they had no idea what I was talking about BUT, they did give me two caps as I had my memberships with me.

So it was good in the end, but I thought that it could have been handled a tad better.

It got even better as they mailed another two hats to me in the mail!!!????

I find that hard to believe, given my other AFL member friends who support other clubs had received theirs before the NAB Cup had even started, let alone now.

When I asked the person at the membership counter at the Geelong game, they could easily tell on the screen that my package had "not yet been dispatched yet", which would be a fair effort if the AFL were synchronizing that.

Given that the AFL membership dollars go to the club just as much as a club membership does, the way the club treats them with disdain is pathetic.

My mind goes back to the CFC raffle drawn just before our ill-fated match against Norf in 2003.

The winner...this guy
