I wonder if Terry Wallet had a look at at the lift out in todays HUN?
Apparently we are too old and only have 2 years to win a premiership.
I have been through the lists and this is how many players each club have that are over the age of 27 on their senior lists;

1 Melbourne
2 Richmond
3 Gold Coast
4 CARLTON
North Melbourne
Adelaide
5 Essendon*
Brisbane
Port
West Coast
6 Hawthorn
Fremantle
7 Collingwood
8 St Kilda
9 Western Bulldogs
Sydney
11 Geelong

You are right Terry, Carlton are so old!
Amazing the number of players in this age group that Geelong have, due for a slide for sure.

Looking at those figures, it seems having at least 6 players over 27 leads to having a strong team. 5 players over 27 is a big no no!

Good work Terry, I agree on Watson. The more games the better. Still needs work, but looks good.

This  - maybe we could bite the bullet with Watto this year and get some games under his belt. His fantastic kicking and big body would be invaluable. His engine would get more CCs as the year goes on.

In the match committees defence they are probably protecting such a young body. No quarter would have been given to Fletcher though, worked for him.

Credit where it is due

Teflon wouldn't have seen the Blues close up over the summer as some of us have, but he has watched us since the real stuff has started and has noticed the key differences...

- pressure inside out F50
- wall across 50-60m
- better kicks down back
- re-modelled defensive personnel
- greater hardness on ball (he mentions Curnow but could also throw in Robbo and Ellard)

I think this one has sporadically improved. It was way down in round 3 & 4, and was patchy on the weekend.

So now that he's praising us, that automatically makes him less of a witless dipshit? Interesting...

IMO, the fact that he's claiming some sort of expertise while making grand statements about teams which he obviously hasn't watched, makes him more of a witless dipshit.

What credit is due??? He's just an armchair warrior like the rest of us. He was a great footballer, but as a coach...... ? and a list manager??? Gotta be kidding. In the heat of the battle with his butt on the line, he wasn't a list manager's bootlace. In fact that's the very last designation you'd give him. List Manager.... :garthp:

Yeah nah, he's just another couch potato like the all the bozos in here (me included). He just seems to have a tad more credibility because he was brave and good at chasing (and getting) the pigskin.
