White has a minor knee issue from the weekend, nothing serious. Otherwise he would be going around.

Why is McLean not playing then?

Looking forward to seeing a few things on Saturday night;

- Curnow: I know he has had a limited pre-season on his return from injury but the raps are good;
- defensive workings between the KPPs ie who takes who, who leads and then how the new flanker types in Laidler are worked in here
- midfield rotation without Judd and Carrazzo really opens it up for Gibbs and Russell to play some serious time in the middle.
- Kerr. Saw some good moments in the VFL last year but he needs to be putting it all together.

He's on a modified pre-season schedule, ala Houlihan (hip/hamstring issues), Carrazzo (can't recall why), Judd (missed a chunk of the pre-season on mini-honeymoon).

Kerr looks leaner this year mols; he might put pressure on Yarran to keep his work-rate up, or work into a HF role if we need Yarran or Garlett in midfield at some point.

Some saying Collins has a shoulder issue and is out for three. Anybody know anything? Would've liked to see him have a run this weekend.

He had some surgery when he 1st came across. Still rehabing I think.

That's right. I hope it's just that. He didn't play in the intraclubs for that reason. Probably just some poor grammar I read in the comments section under the announcement of NAB squad that made me think he had redone it a bit. I'm sticking with your theory. :razz:

I hope it's not a major strain - just a minor one.

Where's Doull, Jezza, and Big Nick. Just because they are getting on a bit doesn't mean they should be treated like senior citizens and rested.

They may just be a bit reluctant to expose Labi.

Probably a good move...no one wants to see Labi ripped to shreds by the bigger bodies of the Pies

I think the spot for Labi is the G. If they keep the other place under cover he won't be able to perform at his peak.
