Good signs this morning. He saw a photo of Wallker in the Hun under a Trade Week banner and asked what it was all about. I said it’s the week where clubs can swap players. He asked “who are we getting”. I said “Who is who getting?”. He replied “Carlton”.
I’ll keep working on him though, a systematic brainwashing over summer that will include replays of the StK and Geelong games, maybe even the 99 prelim (he hates the scum) and the 95 GF. A Junior Blue membership early next year, a visit to the family day and training where he can hopefully grab a photo with a player. If all that fails, a good old fashioned flogging.
Good news on trade week, but good luck explaining getting draft picks (or players they've never heard of) for players they love!
Fev deal was a nightmare last year.
