Would rather play them at ANZ than the SCG. They are able to crowd us too much at the SCG

Docklands will only be used as a venue in week one if there are 4 games in Melbourne. Given that Freo will almost certainly finish 5th or 6th, that won't happen. So if we get a home game, it will be at the 'G.

Still dreaming we might beat the Cats by 50 (will be a good result for such a crap team) and the Swans beat the Bullies by 100. Then it would get interesting.

I Have a Dream! :thanks: :thanks: :thanks:
... a final 4 dream.

PS

Of course if (when) we get beaten by Geelong on Friday night ... I will be baracking the Bullies to pump the Swans.

The Cats are our bitches.

Anything less than a 50 point win will be disappointing leading up to finals.

Go Blues!!!!

Freo may rest Pav, Sandilands

Looks like Freo are throwing the towel in already for their match in Tassie against the Dawks and concentrating on having fit players for our Round 22 match. Suspected as much.

Shame about that.

Best scenario for us, given we are unlikely to beat Geelong, is:

Freo beats Hawthorn
Dogs beat Syd

Freo then guaranteed 5th and a home final, so their last game against us cannot change their ladder position. We then need to win that game or hope Syd loses to Brisbane, which is unlikely.

If Freo actually beat Hawthorn in Tassie (who must win to make the finals and who will be rampaging) with this side it will be close to upset of the year  Pav, Sandi, McPhee, Mundy, Hill, Morabito all out.
http://www.afl.com.au/news/newsarticle/ ... fault.aspx

Hope it backfires on them and they lose both Round 21 and 22

Freo have thrown the game in Tassie -Must be confident of beating us round 22

I hope like hell it backfires on them- They will be shitting bricks if we knock off the cats and Sydney beat the dogs

North and Melbourne would have to win both of their last two games and Hawthorn lose both (considerably to close their gap in percentage with Melbourne) for the Hawks to miss out. The final 8 is all but locked in, but the battle for position is intense.

Yep, 7 players out with 'general soreness'...there must be an image out there somewhere of the good general someone can upload?

Key result this weekend is still Dogs beating Syd.

Saints did it in roughly the same fixture with Hawthorn last season and look what happened. The ins aren't exactly shocking, and the outs are fair: two blokes who have been dragging the team along in Pav & Mundy, two old stagers who have been flogged in McPhee and Hayden, and a smattering of first & second year players.

They'll lose, but they've just freshened themselves well enough for the finals.
