Jamison out of form???
are you @#$%&! retarded???
he lost 2 one on ones last night
every other week he has dominated his opponent
he is number 1 in comp for spoils
out of form???
clearly some of you dont understand a full backs role
and he is our only pure key position player bar the 4 ruckman

Huge game. Hopefully we will be far more desperate and direct than we have been. This will show where we sit. We have a good record against the Bullies and they have been up and down.

We need to get Gibbs in the middle. We didn't draft him at #1 so he could be a tagger. Get him where the action is. Put him head to head with Cooney. Let's see what he has got.

Tell the tall forwards to move up and down the ground, create space, give options

Be direct. No more sloppy ring around the rosy footy

Get all the players playing with the intensity of Robinson. He may lack skill and do some dumb things, but he sure hits the contest hard.

Discipline - No stupid free kicks and no pointless 50 metre penalties.

Tackle - it was galling to watch Mitch Clarke step through about 4 alleged tackles ina row. Make them stick, tackle with your body not outstretched arms

Give Ellard a game - he was only retained on the rookie list because we thought he had a future. He's bog in the 2s every week. Give him a chance. Not like there are loads of stars in front of him.

Hopefully Bower plays this week, is fit and doesn't reinjure his quad again. Do they call it a quad because it usually goes four times a year??

Only one or two changes. Ellard for someone and Bower for TBird.

Let's hope we at least see some genuine desperation.

One of the lost one on ones was against a ruckman in Clark.

I listened to discussions after Thurs night's game on SEN (don't hate me ) as to whether we can afford four+ "scraggers/taggers" ... Mitch, AJ, Army, Carrots, etc. Each has their place in my team, but I'm a fan not a coach!

As to Setanta, I still think he's worth his spot too ... surely teams still have to put one of their taller backs on him "just in case"? If he runs with & takes Lake out of the goal square I think he's done his job.

Is John Ralph illiterate? His own website stated Carlton as a younger and less experienced side, as well as having our own key injury troubles, yet he publishes an article that paints Brisbane as young and decimated by injury

I hope we smash the Bulldogs ...... Again ....... So he can write how young and injury effected the dogs are.

Sure it's a stupid article, but it plays in our favour - as previously pointed out, bad Blues win, good Blues don't. We don't want the boys being complacent with that win, we wan't them to be hungry and desperate to prove why they're 6th on the ladder and able to beat Saints and Cats.

I might reserve my final opinion on changes to the team until after tomorrow's 'Ants game, but at this stage I'd say Bower is a certainty to come in (assuming he's fit) - perhaps for Carlos? I wouldn't mind seeing Jamo, Bower & T-Bird in defence with Tex playing further up the ground (wing/forward)...

Tex got better as the game went on last night, but his form has been a bit of a worry IMO. FWIW - to be honest, I no longer think he's an automatic selection in our best 22...

The same could be said for T-Bird - but unless Austin or White play a blinder tomorrow, I think he's safe for the timebeing.

Good games from Lucas & Hadley tomorrow will keep them in the mix for selection next week, with Grigg by no means a certainty to get a game (and no, that doesn't mean he's going to GC... ). Whereas it probably won't matter how well Ellard plays, they won't pick him.... :?

Not so sure about that...he was in the rooms last night giving encouragement to the boys - they might just play him yet.

Cop it because yet again they have wilted in a big pressure game. Premiership favourite at one stage and tipped to finish top 4.

We match up well against the Dogs. I have full confidence in our backline to hold their forwards and they're mids are a little out of sorts. Limit Gilbee and Griffen and we go along way to slowing down their run.

Hendo to kick 4, the little fellas to run rampant at the feet of Hampson with Gibbs and Carrots sharing BOG honours. Oh and best of luck to Ellard, jeez he deserves a go.

A little worried about this match, now that the Dogs lost, and by a close margin afterhaving more scoring shots. Will definitely be out to make amends.

We'd better be switched on for dour quarters or we're in trouble.

Dogs and the Hawks just played 4 quarters of finals football. Game of the season barr the schizophenic umpiring.

A few blokes are going to have to harden the @#$%&! up if we're going to win next week.

Play tough Blues.

Make your tackles stick.

Full team effort.

Depends which rule book they use this week!!!
Its probably a one week one you would think

Regardless, we really need to lift our intensity and attack on the ball if we are going to beat this mob - Lake or no Lake! :hitcomputer:

Let's hope so. Really looking forward to seeing him run around for us. I can't see them picking them, but here's hoping.

Plus Bower back will be a good in (assuming he can actually stay in). I hope he starts having a better run so re injuries. Have loved seeing his development and don't want it to come to a halt.

Why do we seem to be getting criticised more than Brisbane after last night?

Injuries? Bower, Kruezer, Waite, Mclean + Judd/Gibbs with ankle problems and others who will be better for the run.

One minute, we cant beat ordinary sides, now we are flat track bullies!

Jon Ralph is a knob (just ask Andrew Bogut)

This...........
Quote:
The suspicion is that Carlton can throw around weaklings like Melbourne, West Coast and Brisbane, from where its taken its only three wins of the past six weeks.

Sorry.......... who was the last team to beat Geelong twice in a row? And while your answering that........when was the last time a team beat both Geelong and StKilda in the same year?

And This..............

Quote:
Then the predictable happened. The young Lions ran out of puff.

Ummmm.......... Raplhy you Git........ If you bothered to do your research, you'll see that the 'Young Lions' had the same avereaged aged team as we do...........

Look, I aggree we need some work............... But that piece of so-called journalism was written for one reason only.............. Jon Ralph wanted a contriversial piece that gets attention JUST to sell papers.

Sad thing is............. It worked........

Funny thing is........... More people now know that he's a knob!

PS. Hi Ralphy............ I know your reading this......................
