His response was pick 40 of the 2008 draft Mitch Robinson was probably the best today.

Geez............

In the past 2 weeks:-

ROBBO
45 possesions, 3 goals, 15 tackles and went inside 50 9 times

GYSBERTS
53 possesions, 0 goals, 3 tackles and went inside 50 4 times.

Well done to Gysberts and best of luck to the kid.......... but gee I reckon Robbo has had more of an influence than Gysberts has.

Definitely. Would love to see the contested v uncontested possessions breakdown.

Was annoyed to see Gysberts in the Sunday age votes as well. Sure, he got 27 touches, but how effective where they? Not very IMO. To have him ahead of Judd (who didn't get a vote) was pure silliness - who had more influence on the game?

Dear Aaron Joseph,
is it true that you are currently in a band called the PVB'S? If this is true, who is in the band and what instrument do you play?
Also, can you perform at my birthday party?
GO BLUES!!!1!!!

Aaron Joseph: Thanks for your question Mitch Robinson! And it is true. PVB stands for Pascoe Vale Boys and you are currently in the band with me. Simon White could also have a future as a band manager if all goes well. I play the guitar and kind of look at my playing somewhat similar to Slash’s. And it’s your birthday today! So maybe I can go out of my way to play you a little birthday song.

A good pick up at #40 by Wayne Hughes.

Would like to see Robbo play a bit smarter, and really hope he can add a few more kg's to his upper body. Look out when he does!!

I think he was marked down by a lot of recruiters, as he was a year older then the others. But looking at those picked after him, there wouldn't be any other players you could say we should have taken. The 2008 draft looks like producing a lot of quality players.

IMO the 2nd, 3rd, 4th round picks are where recruiters should be assessed.

So far, everything is coming WH with this recruitment decision.

..for me, that was something of a breakout game actually.. .... ..i think he played far more in and under than Hadley, with more aggression and intent too.. ..and that block for Judd in the 4th was brilliant.. ..i reckon he's best played off half forward with full license to charge in off the line..

Its ridiculous thinking back to how fanatical clubs and recruiters were about drafting only 17-18 year olds...i mean, marked down because he was 19? What difference does that make?
Still only a kid and can still play for the club for 10 years +

Thank goodness recruiters have finally seen that some 20+ yr olds in the lower leagues can be valuable additions

Don't forget he is still a long long way from that 50-80 game mark where most players start to get some real composure about their game. Everything you're seeing now is just undiluted Robbo. The rough edges will come-off over the next few seasons, and you'll be left with a classy hard nut. Kind of like Chapman, if he was taller and a ranga.

..or, like a smaller version of Hamill.. ..reminds me of him a bit, prowling across HF and waiting to charge in..
