Only the confirmation in everyone's minds that he is indeed "special"

Pro Another Win interstate, important.

Cons
Appears to be a huge difference between the Seven A team and the B team.

So the biggest con is Seven's coverage?

Surely that's a pro?

pro - murph -tagged really hard and fought though it and gave us run in the last
Kruise
AJ - thought a couple of weeks ago he needed a spell to freshen up and just enjoy his footy - @#$%&! me I reckon he's loving it at the moment
The side - sore/stale/hard game last week/5 day break etc and they just stuck at it and worked and worked and even with all that and the injuries they found legs and just went 'wham bam we're home ma'am!'

Cons - nothing.

PRO/CON
I thought our biggest con today is that our disposal wasn't really flash today and we struggled for fluency, but the fact that we won despite that in fact makes it a PRO.

Agree with this.

Like many others, I thought Armfield and Simmo were outstanding.
Not sure if Gibbs enjoys playing back, but did a fantastic job on Motlop, and setting up play.
I thought Joseph was really good as well.
Judd and Kreuzer
Setanta. Could have easily kicked 6, if he hadn't dropped those 2 chest marks in the goalsquare.
Waite. He's been really dangerous the last couple of weeks. Really like his agression. Even though he overstepped the mark.
Class finishing from Yarran.
Also really liked Johnson's game. Best game for Carlton. Great aggression at the opposition.
Perseverance of the team. Could easily have dropped this game.

Cons:

A couple of the cheap 50 metre penalties to Port in the 3rd quarter. I guess it was inevitable after last week, but Port certainly got the better of the umpiring.

Pros:

- Juddy - Machine
- Simmo providing great run all over the park
- Setanta! I am falling in love with this man, he looks awkward as hell but who cares! He can take a mark, kicks important goals, creates a contest and can hold the ball up in the forward line.
- Yarran again showing his raw talent, he wasn't as prolific today, but he popped up when it mattered most in the last quarter, that one hander in the pocket was all class
- Krooz is a star
- JR again a great game
- Armfield! Wow, he has stepped up massively, what a gem he is turning out to be
- I thought that Aaron Joseph played his best game for the year and is getting back to his form last year, 2 good weeks in a row from him which is good to see after a slow start to 2010
- Simon White also played his best game, hope his injury isnt serious
- Great win, dont underestimate how good this was, it wasnt a lack of intensity by us in the first 3 quarters, Port were good, hard at the ball and made us work very hard. Twice we fell behind by 2-3 goals at different stages of the match, yet we kept responding and overpowered them in the last.

Cons:

- Waite: Was a passenger all day and on the angry pills, at best he'll miss 3 weeks at worst could be looking at six weeks out. Silly after a good return last week
- Thornton doesnt look comfortable out there, when Bower is fit again he will struggle IMO
- Gibbs, or should I say, the use of Gibbs by Ratten. Release him into the midfield!
- Murphy had a downer by his standards
- Betts was MIA, Garlett also
- Lucas injury
- Channel @#$%&! Seven! Seriously what kind of coverage was that? Stop cracking shit jokes and showing unnecessary replays and angles and show the bloody game FFS!

SOOOOO TRUE!!!!!!!!!!

Has anyone actually listened to David Schwarze? The drivel that constantly spews from his mouth is horrid. It's almost as if he has no idea what is going to come out of his mouth as he is saying it. Channel 7 clearly made a mistake hiring him and are too embarassed to rectify the situation.

P.S Would be handy if they got rid of Brucccce too, a dandylion would be manlier.

I honestly thought channel nine did a great job of covering the game, Dennis Commetti, BT, JB and Gary got the job done very well - really miss those days.

You really think Bruce is biased? I think he just likes good footy, I've never noticed any bias towards Adelaide teams (so much so, I don't even know who he supports?). He seemed pretty excited when we lifted. I reckon Schwarz is one of the worst going around though. Could he offer any less insight?

Pros:
First ever interstate trip and witnessed an amazing win against the odds win after a 5 day break and coming from behind against a team known for their last qtrs.

Army's game was brilliant it is one thing to tag the oppositions best player and minimilaise their impact but to hurt them the other way shows class his gut running and speed across the ground was impressive.

Johnson - was completely shocked (in a good way) how he put his body on the line on serveral occassions, something that wasn't in his game last year. I hope he keeps it up.

Simmo - one of the most underrated players in the comp

Judd - not his greatest game but when needed in the final qtr he was super.

Krooz - brilliant all round performance game

Setanta - might not be the most talented key forward going around but his desire and effort is unquestionable and he is finally getting the rewards for that.

Ratts - has really coached well and deserves as many accolades as he got knocks about his coaching earlier on this season

The Virgin Blue airhostess who congratulated Carlton's win on the loudspeaker during the flight home. funny stuff especially for the 1 Port supporter on our plane.

Cons:

Waite - not sure what he was thinking but I guess 2 weeks is a good result for that brain fade.

Pros
- The new found appetite to gut run and work hard when the chips are down.
- With the appetite comes a belief that our forwardline can always kick a winning score if we get it in quickly.
- Simmo's 2nd half where he played on quickly each and every time set the tone.
- Wakeup call for Waity. He has been on the edge of getting reported for many weeks. 2 now might just straighten him out for the 2nd half and 3 weeks intensive training this time of year after his slow start won't hurt him either.
- Disappointing for Lucas but it will give him a chance to get his breath back for the 2nd half of the year.
- Army is a revelation. Credit to his professional approach and attitude to get the best out of himself.

Cons
If I'm being picky......
- Simmos missed goal on the run midway through the 3rd when we could have got us back to 6 pts but he missed and Port raced it to the other end to put them 3 gls up and gave them a real sniff.
- AJ trying to do to much every now and again. It's a fine line, but just do the simple things consistently well.

Regards Cazzesman

Simspon and Judd are the two players I look for when we are in a hole. Thing about Simpson is that you notice him the most when the chips are down and we are struggling for possession. Then Juddy just explodes.

It's like Simpson is the spark and Judd is the flame.

And speaking of flames I am very impressed with the 2010 model Jacobs. Made some errors with his disposal in the first half - not for want of effort though - but really came back strongly in that second half.

And I agree with those praising Johnson's game. He really was hard at it and let them know that physical stuff was a two-way street.

I agree with those that mentioned Simpson - when we're struggling for confidence and direction Simmo is often the one who says "this is what we need to do" by throwing himself into a contest or taking them on with run when we're stagnant.

A real leader

Kade Simpson can hold his head high in any football company - and in particular there are there are not too many in the top 20 of the 2002 National Draft that I would trade him for - even Goddard or Wells.
