verbs,
about 5 weeks ago, the whole company was told if anyone is caught miss behaving outside work hours, while wearing the company work wear you WILL BE SACKED.
these few guys that have played up are old enough to know better.
is it there first time?
iam a foreman on a site but IAM not responsible for the actions of the guys on site, as my boss tells me over and over again these guys are employed through the company and not you!
why should sticks or ratts or juddy take responsibility?
this is the problem in todays society, lets blame everyone but me.
never will you see me running around in my underwear fighting with security.
never will you see me being locked for d and d.
grow up and act your f@@@@G age, this is all iam trying to say verbs, i just gets under my skin mate.

Well in that case they should be all sacked, regardless of their age.

Boys had a good time and got p!ssed. Big major crime...wow!!!!! Give them their fine, kick them up the @rse, nip it in the bud in case the boys think they can carry that over, and get over it FFS. Just pile of boys having a few too many. Not a big crime. It could be worse. Andrew Lovett could play for us. That puts it into perspective. Bet most sides have players smashed to the crappers at some stage at this time of the year. I know, sack all the captains!!!! The fact we suspended 3 bloke before round 22 and traded Fev shows the club won't take too much sh!t.

Wonder how many dills busted their jaw with their kneejerk reaction. "Perspective" isn't a word in the football supporter's dictionary. Fair enough not to be happy but, sh!t, put it into some sort of perspective

Must be Fev's fault....Oh wait!

It's thread's like this that make me think 3/4 of supporters of any club variety are no more than emotional, overreactive brainless twerps.

Of course now there's the blame game. Stripping Judd of the captaincy....it is to laugh. Get rid of a great leader and premiership captain all based on dumb, uninformed opinions.

What do you do with a drunken sailor....

..actually, if yer a foreman on site, and yer workers muck up.. ..of course yer responsible.. ..otherwise, as foreman, what the hell are you doing..?.. ..or not doing, as the case may be.. .... ..now, if you are aware there's a bad culture of drinking and then getting into trouble,, then yes, even at a so-called 'unofficial' party,, the drinking should have been curtailed earlier, cos obviously a few can't drink and stay out of trouble.. .... ..you don't address culture during the season, and let everything go to hell during the off season.. ..not in a team/club at afl level..

..yes, the Juddles is only one man, and our current best candidate for captain.. ..and yes, it may be very hard/difficult for him but he needs to step it up.. ..simple as that.. ..any that flat-out don't listen, need to be shipped off....actions are needed, not words.. ..Juddles, and whatever semblence of a leader we have on the list need to outline a strict code of behaviour, with harsher penalties.. ..make it known to the entire list, and any lapses dealt with swiftly..

The cruise boat has a liquor licence. Surely there are conditions of the licence that prohibit selling alcohol to the intoxicated. So much for the bleating of the boat owner.
Was the boat owner supplying anything else?

87% .. lets go back through the posts and see how many would strip Judd of the Captaincy but won't because no suitable replacement stands out to them. I'm tipping it wouldn't be 87% then, more 50-50.

So again the question comes back to Judd and his inability along with the club to cultivate, motivate and inspire the leadership group ---> playing group.

Will Leading Teams fix this problem? IMO leadership isn't something that can be taught from scratch, you have to already demonstate leadership qualities and then use Leading Teams to fine tune those skills, otherwise when the leadership group all of a sudden start coming out and towing the line according to the book of leadership, they will come of looking stupid and lose even more respect.

Now back to the question of who would you replace Judd with? I think we have 2-3 candidates. Gibbs and McLean with JR a smokey.

So what's the point in having a foreman?

..no-one's good enough to replace Juddles yet.. ..however, it might be a better question to ask who should be V.C and who should be part of a 'real' leadership group.... ..for me, i reckon Murphos, Simmo, Carrots, Waite.. ..JR as a smokey i can see, ditto Wiggo..

.. ..in a year, chuck in McLean.. ..Krooz a definate when he gets another year or two under his belt.... ..the problem though is the players with good leadership qualities are still so young themselves.. .... ..as for the Gibblet, great player gettin' better.. ..don't see the captain/leader material in him meself though.... ..if anything, he's a young gun that should be watched, he could go the way of the 'bad boy blues'.... ..hopefully he won't be under the 'shadow' of the neg influences much longer..

I dont think the Club would seriously consider dumping Judd as Captain for this or any other reason. You dont recruit one of the highest profile players in the land and demote him after, even if he was caught tying up first year players himself (which he wouldnt).

Judd is a gun. An absolute gun. Some cry for leadership and as a Club we're in a shortage of that but Judd seemingly is a lead-by-example type without an interest in forcing these issues.

I'd say a handover in 3-4 years to one of Gibbs or Kreuzer is more likely.

I think you're right, molsey.

I reckon if/when Kruze develops the gift of speech, he'll make a great captain. You can just imagine how imposing an onfield presence he's going to have at age 23+

And yet, Juddy stays out of the press and goes home to de-flower the hottest girl at the end of the night.

I'd say a few of the blokes need to look a bit deeper than just the on-field stuff.
