I was watching ch 7.2 Footy Flashbacks the other night.

The game where we lost to Melbourne by a goal.

All I could think as I watched was that we look so much better when we had 6 contributing forwards.

Hicky, Hoops, Kouta, Rice, Hotton, Braddles, Ratts, Allan, Porte, Freeborn...and on and on.

We are now in that position again.

A hard running midfield with a few freaks (Kruezer, Waite and Santa).

The new forward line will be like herding cats.

Yarran, Betts, Judd, Hendo, Murphy, Simmo, Walker...and on and on.

I cant see how the other teams can man up on a new flying blue machine.

Things I learnt from that game.
1.Same sick feeling as when we lost to Dees that last game at PP
2.Hoops was a big fat star in that game...and he is great up forward.
3.Skinny Lappin!!!!...sigh
4.shorts were shorter even in 2001..we may end with soccer length shorts soon.
5.Hutchy was calling the game??!!???(where have I been!!)
6.Huddo was calling at ch.7..and still hated the blues back then.
