Hope someone can shed some light on this

Last year was a premium gold member.

Looking at Captains club or stand gold captain club this year.

How much is it to purchase guest passes for the games?

Also, what is the Stephen Kernahan room and Victory rooms like? Is it a bit of a wank where its just a bar and you have a few drinks? What is good about it? anything special?

How does the guaranteed access to purchase grand final tickets work? Do you just go into a pool of Captain club members and if your lucky you get a chance to get a grand final ticket. Sorta like a raffle? Or is it just priority access with Ticketek?

If someone can ask those questions, that would be good.

I just bought the Captains Club Premium Gold. I was looking at other Melbourne clubs premium membership package and I think our is a bit light on compared to theirs. Anyone else notice this?
Essendon* and Collingwood get to meet the players in a preseason function.

And Melbourne's isn't bad either!

Additional benefits include:
• Premium Reserved Seating on Level 2 of the Olympic Stand at all home games
• An invitation for you and a guest to attend the President’s Club at a specified home game (retail value $600)
• A pass to the change rooms at one game
• Guaranteed access to purchase a Grand Final ticket if Melbourne is participating
• Access to three great bars including the Lindsay Hassett Room at all home games
• Invitation to a free Premium Members’ social function with players and coaches during the season (date TBA)
• Meet players in the Hassett Room after every home game
• ‘Ins and Outs’ via SMS every Thursday afternoon
• Access to purchase guest passes for your friends and family.

I got my renewal, and MrsKK's on Friday. The 27th of November. For the "Blue for life" option, to make 10 payments, the first payment has to be made by the 25th Nov.

Disappointing the Club seems to leave things so late so often that these things happen.

That said, I'm buying 4 memberships this year (Me, MrsKK, and both my nieces). My Brother is picking up BabyK's membership. It's become a family tradition.

Still havent received my renewal notice. I am part of a family membership and notice comes to my house. Logged into my account with the club and it is only asking for my part of the membership, not the family amount.!!!!!!!!!

How many TCers are AFL members?? I got my first AFL membership last year (after being just a direct Carlton member for years), with Carlton club support, and I was quite skeptical of its pros and cons. I got my renewal brochures just the other day and I'm glad to say that I will be renewing, based on the fact that I enjoy going to games other than Carlton ones, in which the AFL membership came in handy several times.

For mine, its pros were:
-Being able to go to 40 games throughout the home and away season, where I went to every one of Carlton's games in Melbourne and several other games as a neutral supporter.
-Discounts at the AFL Store. Needed a new jacket and got about 20 or 30 bucks taken off the price.
-Still counted as a member of your club
-Access to the first two weeks of finals- Really enjoyed deciding at about 5:30 one Friday night that I wanted to go watch Dogs V Lions
-Great location for seating, southern stand

Cons:
-Sometimes the AFL would sell all the walk-up seating.
-Games at Etihad would sometimes be a pain for seating, however standing is usually never an issue for me anyway.
-Some games you weren't allowed to purchase guest passes. That caused inconvenience a bit.

Although, for the 2010 season I will be purchasing a reserve-seat package for an extra 40 dollars, not that I mind standing at games, I mean standing is great, entertaining to say the least but however, getting a reserve seat for the big homes games against Collingwood, Essendon*, Richmond, and Hawthorn will guarantee me entry. Only problem is, I can't go with anyone if I choose to get seats for those games, or, I will be paying for seats that I don't use...if you know what I mean. Sounds like I want it both ways, I know I can't have it both ways though. Is there a way around this? Maybe be able to reserve an additional seat or something? As I said, I don't find standing to be a problem, but I know people I would take will complain..

It's a shame that the membership department didn't think laterally for next year's bits and pieces which go with the membership.

Rather than the obligatory cap, given our slogan, wouldn't it have been more catchy to supply a couple of BBQ tools (tongs and spatula) with the CFC logo and slogan on them? Or a small spice set with the logo/slogan?

Surely something more creative and interesting could have been done.....

They're not even offering a scarf this year, which I think is pretty poor. The cap is outdated, boring, and I never even wear it. Something more creative would have been good. Maybe a kitchen knife set to go with those other utensils KK

Thanks for the compliment, guys. See, I do have the occasional half-decent idea to go with the half-baked ones

Got BabyK's 2010 card today.

If we had this option it would be a great chance to get tied up and paraletic with the players. Maybe even locked up!

Think i'll buy 2!

Thought we should keep updated of the tally, and currently it stands at 19,208. I renewed my AFL membership just yesterday and I'm sure there are several other members who haven't had their's processed yet so expect the tally to rise. The number to beat is 43,294, so we're just below halfway there. Wouldn't surprise me if we didn't beat it though, given the turmoil the club has been in this off-season and the departure of Fevola.

Not to mention the fact that I know of quite a few people who aren't signing up because Carlton is going to be on TV considerably more this season. Increased TV exposure works for and against it seems.
