Pros,

The first 20 mins. I thought we looked pretty sharp.
Nick Stevens was great until he got hurt.
Pretty good H and A season all things considered.

We get another crack next week

Matthew MONGA Lloyd shows once again the dirty mongrel he is!!!

Cons,

We were again shown where we sit in the scheme of things. We are not yet at Adelaides level. We were shown similar by the Filth a few weeks back.

Back line SHAMBOLIC at times.

No Waite or Jameson

PROS-
We are playing in a Final next week!!!
Murphy, Carrots and Judd won't play so poorly 2 weeks in a row
Hammer
Bower
Yarran
Armfield
Gibbs
Fev
Timely reality-check/wake-up call for everyone associated with the club

CONS-
We are a long way off beating a top tier, well drilled, hungry team
Kick-ins and defending opposition kick-outs
Tex got quite a bit of the ball but was undisciplined at times yesterday IMO
I can't remember another game where Murphy & Judd have been so ineffective
A number of our players looked flat/tired/sore - I hope a mentality of "we've made the finals, that's enough for this year" hasn't crept in....despite what we've achieved this year, if we lose comfortably next week, there will have to be some major soul searching done over the summer...

My first game since Ratten's first game as coach. We were terrible....

Pros:
Joseph
Gibbs
Hampson

Cons:
Wiggins - absolutely terrible.....refused to watch the ball the whole game and if that was an instruction from the box then we have some dumb football 'brains' up there!!
Russell - doesn't lift his head enough when he is about to kick so doesn't see what's around him enough
Kruezer - first time I've seen him but thought Hampson was much more damaging in the ruck.....we need another ruck in the side this week. Still the Kruez will bounce next week!
Johnson - why is he in the team? Austin injured? Hartlett?...is he better than these guys??

PROS:

Fev, yes he spat it at times but by jeez he kept trying and kicked 5 on the best FB in the league (apart from Scarlett)

Hampson - his athleticism is awesome and will be a very very good ruckman (potentially our best i think, better than 206, Sauce and Kruez)

Joseph - will be very good

CONS:

Ratts as a coach as well as all our coaching staff,

Wiggins - should not be in our team ( i like his endeavour but jeez endeavour is not enougfh at this level anymore)

Johnson- couldnt get a game for the 16th team in the comp, but we give him a game

Browne - too many people on this site rate him (i think he is shite)

Our kick outs are deplorable, worst in the AFL

No FWD options other than Fev

PROS:

Finals next week WOO HOO!!
Fev
Hammer
AJ

CONS:

As much as i love wiggo i had to put him in this weeks cons
Johnson WTF mc seriously!!
Need to play four quarters.
Thats what 5 changes does to team balance.
Could keep going with the cons but dont want to be too negative.

Not too many Pros but Joseph was definitely one of them (IMHO Aaron is the biggest Pro of the season), to come off the rookie list and play like he has is brilliant and Saturday showed he has more in his kit-bag than just being a stopper

Biggest Con was the lack of defence across the ground plus no one giving a chop-out to Thornton where he was clearly under-sized (Peter Dean where are you ???)

And there are some who say that T-bird should be thrown up for trade :screwy:

Would've had 200 points kicked against us if it werent for him.

And its probably no co-incidence that their defence work quite hard for each other

PRO
----
- Yarran worked hard and really made his mark with a few chase down tackles. Impressive
- Thankfully the game had no bearing on us making the finals or not
- Fevola was in awesome touch against one of the best defenders in the comp
- Fev winning the coleman medal
- AJ and the ability to run both ways when many others didn't
- Stevo before he got whacked in the head

CON
----
- Overuse of the handball
- Allowing Adelaide exclusive unpressured use of the corridor
- Chris Johnson is not a league footballer
- Inability to break down the Adelaide zone across the 50 and middle of the ground
- Now have to go to Brisbane this week.

Pro's:
Gibbs: Developing very nicely as a player, particularly have noticed his last 6 weeks or so he's been very important. Is getting better all the time and I think it's hard to realize he is still only 20! Going to bea very fine player for our footy club for many years to come.
Fevola: Again in top notch form, presenting well from limited opportunities and has had his kicking boots on the last 3 weeks, which is very good to see come finals time.
Stevens: Really good game from Stevo, worked very hard and has come back quite nicely since his stint in the two's. Credit to him.
Yarran: Really good forward pressure in the first half, up and about and was lively. Limited opportunities for him in the 2nd half but I think he certainly deserves a game next week, and I really can't see why we couldn't have the 3 goalsneaks in the side, depending on how Garlett trains. Betts will be in.
Our first quarter: Good first quarter.

Cons:
Everything else. Fumbles, turnovers, overusing the footy and too handball happy.
Walker, Russell, Johnson terrible disposal.
Johnson: Not up to it and must be dropped this week surely.

Outs this week.. Maybe two or 3 changes, Johnson and Browne out. Maybe Betts and Austin in, Garlett maybe a chance too, but not at the expense of Yarran.
