re: warnock, i wouldnt play him at all this year, barring injury. . .i dont mind the idea of playing 3 talls against melbourne, play kreuz forward with hammer and cloke in the ruck, but 206 has an injury which cannot be flirted with by putting him in high intensity environments yet. . he's played a few weeks at VFL level but is yet to play a full match. . On the weekend he got 60/70percent gametime into him and did well, but now he needs 80% then full game under his belt to achieve peak fitness before being given the shot ahead of a fit hampson, or a fit in-form cloke who did enough to keep his spot.

Im all up for the 'kick to fev' plan, as long as it also sees kreuzer and/or ohailpin kick 3 and doesnt impede our plan to find another gameplan up forward come finals time, and find other options to kick to should fev have a stinker come finals time.

Should be fun. . . My old man is 'coming out of retirement' to come to his first game since we beat the pies first time last year.

lets Secure a 5th Spot and play the Boombers in the first week of the finals and Give it to them....

they will be without Ryder, Houli and perhaps few others....They beat us twice this year and We need sweet Reevenge on them!! NO Better and Bigger Occasion than the Finals....

So you wan't us to lose against Adelaide next week ??? Otherwise we will be sitting in 4th spot considering the Dogs have the Cats (#2) and the Pies (#3) in the next 2 weeks ...............

I'd rest Kreuzer and Judd, even though I'd like his to get the BOG.
Hammer and Yarran in.

The Dogs will not lose both of their games. They will probably win one of them and secure forth spot, which means that We Must beat adelaide to get a home Final, otherwise we could Slip to 7th and end up travelling to brisbane or adel..

We've got to be picking for finals. Pace is the key.

No doubt seasoned bodies like Wiggins and Cloke could handle the rigours tough footy finals hands out; dont think Robbo has as a first year player
We have to roll the dice on Yarran as the x factor forward (ahead of Garlett, but would take either), to give him a feel of the game plan in readiness for finals.

We're playing to win and win a home final.
Would love Warnock in, and we badly missed Hammer's ruckwork, tackling and pace last week.

IN / OUT

Hammer / Cloke
Yarran/ Robinson
Austin/ Wiggins

B: Bower Austin Joseph
HB: Armfield Thornton Russell
C: Gibbs Murphy Walker
HF: Houlihan Setanta Simpson
F: Kreuzer Fevola Betts

I/C: Carrazzo Scotland Stevens Yarran

EM: Warnock/ Cloke Robinson Wiggins

If MC suggested Warnock to play instead of Austin or Cloke then I'd be very happy with that.

Despite the fact we could throw Setanta down in a KP back role (and he would shine at either FB or CHB imo) and I really like him as our mobile CHF.

I like the attacking nature of this backline and the mindset of the team. Armfield, Russell and Joseph when he's playing back, run and carry, break the defensive lines and are good at ground level.

Lets make it 4 in a row and 7 out of the 8 last games and 10 out of the last 14 games.

I feel a storm brewing. It reminds me of the 1991-2 seasons. But better.

Carlton by 70 pts.

Fev to kick 10.

I absolutely guarantee we will win this match.
I would put my house on it if I owned one. I'd put my car on it.

No one would be stupid enough to give up the 2nd draft pick in the last uncompromised draft for nothing.
Especially getting this close, they are 2 games away.

It's completely irrelevant how play as far as winning this game goes.
All this game is about is preparing for Adelaide (a chance at top 4) and finals.

End of story

From the Bullants thread it seemed like Yarran played a blinder of a second quarter then sat much of the second half out,

A sign that he's going to be in this week perhaps?

Or did he just go missing :?
