Easy on the potty mouth action. A little is okay, but please don't over do it.

I've watched it several times . Absolutely nothing in it at all .
No different from a bit of pushing and shoving that goes on all the time . Watch it closely and you can see there was hardly any contact at all . Just backing up a bit of sledging .

If that is worth a suspension , we might as well be playing netball or table tennis .

Difference being that when you see others doing some pushing and shoving both players are standing.

This isn't the case here.

Taking off my Carlton hat,
the incident was low impact, not in play, probably intentional rather than reckless. It certainly wasnt accidental.
I agree with whover said its a reprimand with some carry over points, unless he has a prior then he gets a week.

The days of watching a replay and saying "nothing in that" is over. There is more of an analysis of the action.

Again, what I was most happy about was the reaction from the Blueboys. Awesome stuff

Excellent. Bodes well in case Fev does something similar.

I'm sure he'll be treated exactly the same :garthp:

Johnson cleared

Quote:
Contact between Carlton’s Chris Johnson and the Brisbane Lions’ Troy Selwood from the third quarter of Saturday’s game was assessed. It was the view of the panel that both players were converging on the ball, when the ball bounced towards Selwood, who extended his left arm to gather it. At this time, Johnson braced for inevitable contact that would occur. Johnson did not have a realistic alternative way to contest the ball, as the ball was not gathered by the Brisbane player until immediately before contact was made. The Carlton player did not leave the ground to make contact, he did not run past the ball to make contact and his elbow was tucked in at all times for the contact he made.

Some people need to take their Carlton hats off before they post - try look at it from Browny's point of view...I would have done the same thing...

that is 'be clumsy' / 'make contact to the little pissant who didn't come to my club under the father-son' and ensure that there'd be a bit of a push and shove - maybe some Carlton boys will go over the line - Ray Chamberlain is umpiring - we might get 4 goals in a row out of the goal square ...you just never know. Probably won't win the game - but I'm a bit frustrated and I might just stir the pot against these guys.

He knew what he was doing. Nothing in it. We won. It's all good.

Well they did get an extra shot at goal out of it from T-Bird pushing a Brisbane player in the front or something.....

Maybe Fev should do the same sort of thing this week....... on second thoughts...... :smoking:
