I'd say Fev wins.

I was lucky enough to have a coffee with a Carlton great the other week and he mentioned that Greg Kennedy was a brilliant shot for goal; one of the best he'd seen.

Of those players I have seen, Williams was clearly the best. If they kept assist statistics in those days, I think he would have been setting record after record.

Greg Williams used to be able to pin-point Sticks's chest all the time.

Matty Lappin I thought was always a good kick.

Oh, and Andrew Carrazzo would have to be the best by foot...........EVER!

Surprised no-one has mentioned The Dominator Wayne Johnston.

Was dead-set lethal on his left.

You could always count on the Dominator to kick the big goal when it was needed. But the rest of the time, according to my memory, he was a real point kicker.

I wouldn't say he was a point kicker, but on the rare occasion when he did, he'd hobble off to the next contest

Remember that game out at Waverley on the Queen's B'day against the pies when he did his ankle at the scoreboard end? He was hobbling off the ground assisted by trainers when the ball came towards him. He shrugged off the trainers, swooped on the pill and kicked a brilliant snap goal. He was then picked back up by the trainers and assisted off the ground. Classic Wayne Johnston.

In general play Diesel and Ratts were hard to beat. Of the non Carlton players: Darren Jarman, Akermanis and Nathan Buckley were all wonderful kicks....however Buckley's kicking for goal wasn't as good as his field kicking.
Set shots for goal in the range >50m I think Fev would be the best. Overall best set shot I've seen would be Plugger.
I think Bryce Gibbs may well turn out to be one of the "great" users of the footy.

Charlie Fisher (1914-1921) was a magnificent kick off either foot before he did his right knee, after that he could only kick on his left but was still the best kick in the game. As a lad I had the chance to talk to an old-timer (my first discussion with him originated when someone suggested Bourke-Barrett- Clay was the best centreline of all time and he said it was the best he'd seen since before WW1 but Bruce-McGregor-Kennedy had been better!) who raved about Fisher as the best kick he'd seen.
