You'll be amazed then that that show rated 8....9....and 10 (different episodes on different nights)....in the 20 most watched TV shows in Victoria in the last week.

It also rated number 10 Australia wide.

WTF?? Nine's really lost it now......and me for that matter. I would have thought the bigger scandal was all the athletes that were on it (the juice), around 90% that weren't targeted.

should have been number 1.

No1 should have been kieren perkins blitzing the final in the far lane after barely qualifying 10 years ago.......now that was farcical.

Surely you jest??????? I have reached a point where I only watch sport on tv....the rest is basically drivel (apart from the rare NZ / Aussie sitcom).

This list is about 12 days old but......it gives you an idea of what Australians are watching.

What Australia watched, week ending October 18

1 PACKED TO THE RAFTERS Seven 1,881,000
2 FIND MY FAMILY Seven 1,831,000
3 SEVEN NEWS - SUN Seven 1,626,000
4 RSPCA ANIMAL RESCUE Seven 1,615,000
5 THE FORCE - BEHIND THE LINE Seven 1,581,000
6 BORDER SECURITY - AUSTRALIA’S FRONT LINE Seven 1,526,000
7 BETTER HOMES AND GARDENS Seven 1,524,000
8 MINDING YOUR MONEY - SEVEN NEWS SPECIAL Seven 1,493,000
9 CRIMINAL MINDS Seven 1,453,000
10 TWO AND A HALF MEN -WED EP2 Nine 1,451,000
11 SEVEN NEWS Seven 1,411,000
12 TWO AND A HALF MEN -WED Nine 1,401,000
13 CITY HOMICIDE Seven 1,398,000
14 MEDICAL EMERGENCY Seven 1,391,000
15 60 MINUTES Nine 1,358,000

The funny thing is.....every new show 9 has tried this year after ACA has bombed; and they started replacing all of these duds with Two and a Half Men at 7pm.

It started to do so well.... that it's virtually now their flagship show and continues to rate well; sometimes on 3 times a night......a winner for 9 by default!..........

Bearing in mind that my Wife and I mostly watch different programs in any given week......I.E. her TV.....and mine......but sometimes we both watch the big screen....dependent on the show.

Ha ha! Funny you mention that...my wife (a Kiwi) always goes on about "The Dog Show" and how popular it was. It gets a mention on Flight of the Conchords too.

Not sure if you ever saw it (not sure if anyone ever saw it!) but the ABC ran a similar show years ago. It rated about as well as you would expect an ABC show being aired at 1.00pm on a Saturday afternoon would rate - nought!!!

The only decent shows the Kiwi's do are Outrageous Fortune and Fair Go. Actually, I think they are the only shows NZ do (except that stupid run forwards and throw the ball backwards game they obsess over).

Hey Bunks......there are NZ shows that are on intermittently here about 7.30-8 pm.

..can't recall the titles; but they're about Police out on Highway Patrol..

..and also another one about foot Police in the Cities; which highlights

something we don't have here.....Non Police Security Patrols who seem

to just handle small tasks like moving on drunks etc....a good idea.
