We wish.

Alas, it was only 1995, but given our team was made up of plenty of guys from 1987 it hardly matters.

If you read Cameron Noakes every week you will appreciate that he is usually pretty funny, I'll let this one slide, in fact in some parts it was quite complimentary to us.

Noakes Mongrel Punter articles are one of the high points of the week in footy journalism.

This one's a beauty too if you can get over the irony bypass that most of you seem to have had. You're all so thin skinned and flower paranoid that someone's having a crack at you that you're missing this for what it is.

Despite the fact that he hates us (as all opposition supporters should) he's pointing out how the opposition coaches are suddenly lining up to take potshots at us and that there must be some subtext - ie they're starting to look over their shoulders and they don't like what they see.

Take this article for what it is. The worst part of being down was having other supporters start to pity us. This article shows that that's no longer the case.

We may not have won number 17 yet but we're back...

I thought it was quite a funny read .. not a regular reader of his, but it was clearly an over the top sendup, alluding to how funny it is to see other coaches losing the plot in talking about us cos they are clearly worried about how good our mid-field will be as it develops. And the pic of Grigg added as a little side dish!

The article is typically very tongue in cheek.....and in fact is very complimentary to CFC.

It's meant to be funny guys!......lighten up!

Talking about cheating we have team that is not even created yet and the cheating is already on by the AFL.

The AFL always change and bend the Rules as it suites them and yet not even a boo said by anybody.

Well - I liked it and i like Cameron Noakes' articles generally. Gotta love talking about the Blues when we finished 11th! Finals are on this week and all I've heard is Fev, Juddy in the AFL mag, Roos and Swanny going toe-to-toe and death threats against Stevo...nothing but Carlton, Carlton, Carlton!!

...oh - and some new club for 2011 who've decided that - like Carlton - they don't need a plane, warfie, energy source or animal to market their club to the masses.

Exactly what is a 'Blue', anyway? :?

Article caused me to chuckle. People are scared of us and I love it.

Large toothless dogs that bark loudly can be scary too until you see the guminess. I am sensing the fear as well but the jobs not done yet.

Is a barking dog with false teeth scary if you know it has false teeth?

I know Chisel called themselves "Barking Spiders" when they did un advertised live pub gigs....(which I saw a few)......and that makes as much sense as some of the posts in this thread.
