Agro's gunna hate me for this, but credit where it's due to Demetriou for coming out last night and saying that Angwin had been given the arse from two clubs for being a liar and a thief so therefore maybe we should take any crap he spews forth with a grain of salt.

Even Demetriou knows you're scum Angwin....

I can't believe that two people who are generally considered anathema to the majority of Carlton folks have come up with the most sensible points in the whole brouhaha. Kudos to them.

Right, that's my praise of the AFL over and done with...

On reflection, given the way we have been playing lately, I think Laurie might have a point

I really can't understand how a publication like The Bulliten could think that a dick like Angwin has any credibility. Honestly, the guy is a numbskull - and even if there were others who were e'd up the night before the infamous training session, they weren't stupid enough to turn up to training of their tits, were they!

And I love the timing of it all - Tuesday night gives Eddie a day to get in touch with him and get him on the (Nothing about) Footy Show, which puts some cash in his pocket for the weekend - you can bet it will be a big one on the gear!

Me thinks Laurie was short on $$$ so decided to spin some bs.
Clearly needs some money to pay some drug debts!!

Wolfister...you seen the Bulletin lately? I suspect that's the only one who would pick up the story.....desperate times call for desperate measures...

Oh BTW who owns the Bulletin? Who may have an involvement in TFS?
Who may have an involvement in a footy club? Which other players may be implicated? Who may stir shit to as they have to recruit well this year??
Call me a conspiracy theorist...but....

Is Laurie eligible for the NRS?

Perhaps we can trade Angwin...........

for the hostage (Mr Woods) in Iraq.......at least Mr Woods would be more apprecitaive and probably a better contributor to the club

"It has taken Angwin more than a year to agree speak about his case. Immediately after the scandal broke several media organisations approached him, some prepared to pay. “But I had no answers and I knew I would have looked like a fool.â€

Based on a quick skim read, it looks like Angwin is trying to be a bit "woe is me", but comes across as a flower...

Even if its true , footballer's are part of society and these things happen, you would have to be stupid to think that temptation doesnt get the better of some young blokes. I think the the story will fade quicker than LA's career....its a dissapointing way to pay a club back that went out on a limb for LA and tried to get him sorted out by giving him a second chance......

Exactly. He also says something about most guys not being stupid enough to take anything the day before a game... well I'd say most people who have experimented (and lets face it, most 18-25 year olds experiment with something), aren't dumb enough to let it interfere with their careers full stop - so for footballers that means not just game day, but training as well.

Anyone who has met Laurie soon realises he tells people what they want to hear.
Pagan, the MC and many supporters.
He is a chameleon.
He becomes what you want him to be.

This all reinforces what we already know, Laurie has many talents but he disappoints everyone in the end.
This reporter will find out the hard way as the rest of us did.

It's just typical tabloid crap. Football + drugs = massive public interest. They must have hunted ol' Laurie down and got the weasel to talk, and everyone falls over with surprise afetr he basically tells us stuff we already know but most had forgotten.

Gee.... AFL footballers are taking drugs, where's captain obvious when you need him. Are any of us surprised at this revelation? I'm not. I thought this is why the AFL brought in the tests - I thought we'd been through this last year.

This garbage of caffine and drugs is just boring crap - surely we could look at something different, or are we running out of interesting topics in our great game?

I'd like to see the journos and ex-football commentators take a drug test and see how they fare. Let's get a couple of urine samples from the toilets of SEN just to see
