No. I'm incredibly lazy (really, it has to be seen to be believed) and I generally sit up in the second or third deck...

Sparky's going to need one of Grandma Dane's socks if that's the dress code.

Bit cold outside...

Running out onto the ground is simply incredibly moronic behaviour. It adds nothing to the occasion, except to grossly delay the game, and potentially endanger players or other spectators.

As soon as someone wrote that "it's one of the last decent traditions", that clinched the argument that those in favour of running onto the ground are fools.

A bit off track, but maybe we should seek an independant viewpoint. I'd be interested in Terry Alderman's opinion on this.

Nice attempt at having a blatant dig at me, and veiling it behind a 'as soon as someone wrote'... as you quoted exactly what I said - but you simply haven't mentioned my name.

If you want to pass judgement at me for something I have posted - go right ahead, but don't try to do it in a backhanded way. Because that's bullshit, a cop out and a poor way of having a shot at someone. :?

As I've said, in saying I'd run out onto the ground - I have this fairytale sort of reasoning behind it, not to act the buffoon. I'm the sort of person that acts on impulse, and the last thing that would be on my mind would be my safety or that of the players.

Inconsiderate? Thoughtless?! Naive!?

Maybe I am - but that is the person I am and I'll be [REDACTED] I'm going to make excuses for it.

If I got caught on the ground, or if someone - player or otherwise - was to be injured I'd apologise, as would anybody who would do the same thing. But I'd apologise for the consequences - not for the actions.

And once again that's the way I am. Like it or not, I don't really care.

Apologies don't fix injuries, they ruined Terry Alderman's career, and can cost teams finals. It only takes 1 [REDACTED]/headcase to do something stupid and it can make all the difference. Doull is right about the tradition bullshit.... different times call for different measures.

Imagine if an injury did occur or momentum of a final swung against Carlton because of the actions of a so called 'fan', you would be screaming for his head. @#$%&! tradition.

It's a shame I didn't get to read your post, as I cannot possibly imagine anything constructive you could add to/extrapolate from your previous post.

If I could pass on a compliment - I think the most constructive things you have said on this forum completely reside in TalkingStuff...

...oh well.

At least I know that there would be at least 33 other people (as evidenced by the poll) running onto the ground with me. Might have to whip up a big banner with "Hi TC!" on it for the occaision.

:P

Apart from this post being blatant trolling.
I hope you have a spare $5000.

Thanks for letting commonsense rule the day Doull.

Sparky...there was nothing too serious in Doull's post, but despite you saying "I don't care" I thought you might have decided to carry on...you would do well to leave it alone now please.

Ok, happy to leave it alone after bring up these important points (which I hope are received in the correct light).

*Doull's post is akin to somebody saying "All Mods with Cats in their avatars are fools" (which they aren't of course ;) ) - and nobody wants to be called a fool.

*I said 'I don't care' in reference to if people disagree with my willingness to run onto the ground - this 'I don't care' excludes people disguising barbs as generalisations etc.

*This is probably the longest one of my posts has received any attention - which is a shame due to the nature of the coversation (that I must confess I haven't helped with...).

Makes me think, maybe the Melv's, BO's and Gavro's of TC might be onto something... ;)

Anyways, that's all from me on this topic.

Thank you for your attention.

I liked how he sighted the sites 3 favorite posters as his influences.

 I can't see any backhanded comments, just a bit of TalkingRubbish (by me) - and a compliment as well. :P

And dane - they are definitely not influences, I've had spats with two of the three posters mentioned. Just stating that being a firestarter gets attention, and trying to correlate between that fact, and those posters.

Now I've spoken again - after saying I wouldn't.

Gee. Wouldn't at be funny if either:

A) Fev kicks his 100th at the Gabba next week.

or

B) Neither player kicks 100 before the end of the year...
