Not many pros tonight except for Armfield's debut. Grigg continues to impress every week and i believe he will soon develop into a gun HBF.

Cons- Why cant we ever have space like our opponents do?? Do our players not know that when we attack, we dont need all 18 of them going forward. I lost count of how many times, after an inevitable turnover, we let class players like Bartel, Wojinski etc free to spot up targets inside 50..No wonder small forwards have killed us over the years. Stokes and Byrnes are by far Geelongs most ordinary players, yet they both killed us.

No accountability. We will never amount to anything if we dont fix that part of our game.

Too many passengers - Stevens, Carrazzo. Good when the going is good but terrible when the ball is 50/50 to be won.

Carrazzo is the most ineffectual outside player we have. Is not really an inside player; very poor tonight. Cheap possession winner - been taking a leaf out of Camporeale's book.

We will never improve until we get some defenders who are good kicks of the ball.

Teams in the top eight have there best users by foot running out of the back line hitting targets and setting up there attack with pin point accuracy. They have become the most important players in todays game

Unfortunately for us we have Waite, Carrazzo and Setanta slaughtering the ball more times than not.

By the way...thats it for me with Setanta / Russell / Wiggins...they will never cut it...and thats just added pressure for the other guys...they play like they are in high school level.....I have been patient for years now...and cant see a light at the end of the tunnell for these fellas anymore...we n eed to recruit a bit better... we are a AFL LEVEL Club...lets get people who actually want to be there...cherish it...

Pl;us ..Stevo / Fevola are being watchers...if its gone two meters away from them...they act like its not their position to chase them...DISSAPOINTING !!!

Pro Armfield.....wheres he been hiding until now, great effort !
Judd.... stood out like a frickin beacon as a hard nut who was up to their class.
Cloke.....good return

Cons....... where would you like to start ?
Ok, how about at the selection table blunders, why the frig would you drop Pfeiffer and Edwards after what they showed last week ? Astounding
Ratten being outcoached and ultra slow to react. Blind freddie could see we were lucky not to be 10 goals down at half time thanks to their goalkicking yips. Option 1....kick it to Fev....Option 2 er, i will get back to you, oh hang on, there isnt a option 2.

Other usual suspects as previously stated by many others........
Russell....... softer than your average custard tart..... goodbye !!
Stevens..... softer than your average blancmange..one wristband coming up this week for you son !!
Murphy...... had a barry crocker, youre better than that
Wiggo........ thanks for the memories, you tried your guts out...but....
Carrazzo.... get a fricking kicking coach, says a lot that you won a b&f

Awareness.....how hard is it to tell ball carriers youre clear or not ?
...leaving Bower to stand the mark injured was under 12's stuff.

This could go on forever, but there were some positives amongst this what was in theory was like a 100 point loss.
hopefully the MC will FINALLY lose patience with a few pigeon hearts ?!?
FFS youre supposed to have some more like Armfield...play them !!
Will be really interesting to watch the first 10 minutes of next week !!

Pros: None. Zero. Nothing.

Cons:

Why did we let Geelong score so many goals? We should've stopped them kicking so many goals.

And why did we let them mark the ball? We should've punched the ball away and then kicked goals and beaten them.

Why did we let them tackle us? We should've brushed them aside and punched them every opportunity we had. And then we should've tackled them. Why didn't we tackle them more?

What's with this missing goals? I can't believe we missed so many goals. We need to kick goals. Lots of goal.

Why did we let them beat us? I can't believe we lost. We should've beaten them.

Why was the Geelong crowd so much louder than us? In the last quarter no-one even yelled out Krooooze. We should be louder than the opposition crowd.

Why didn't we win?

GUTTERED!

Pros: 3/4 time when at a Geelong home game, the dome played 'we are family' over the PA.

Hell yeah.

we were pretty good for the half - actually suprised we were in the contest.

geelong are a fantastic team - and we are a a fantastic team in the making.....sure murphy needs to step up in games like these however if you look back at bartel's career he was trade bait the same age...and then he really stepped it up.

A number of things continue to stand out:
we need a big body at CHF -one who moves, pushes and presents;
some of our ball carriers need to improve their foot skills - Murphy, Carrots, Bower, Fisher - our turnovers by hand and foot cost us dearly [ some players have no peripheral vision at all ] -why is Murph so easily and so often run down? Wiggins couldn't hold an overhead mark last night and many others continue to get their hands to the ball but are easily harrassed off the ball.
Sentanta must not play at FB- he feels closed in and intimidated by the confined space -he needs to run free CHB or wing [ if he could become more accountable!!] Who is left to fill some of the gaps? The next 4 weeks are going to be tough with the form that we are producing now! Are we going to tumble to the Essendon* ,Melbourne levels or have we reached those standards already? Richmond is looking much cleaner and skilled and quicker etc than we. How terrifying.

Geelong had 22 players who were prepared to put their collective heads over the footy at every contest .

Carlton had 5 or 6 players who are selective (read that as SOFT) at crucial times and as aresult we will never improve until those players change their attitude or we move them on.

Sad but True.

I would be interested to know who you believe those selective players are Cazzesman.

Taking Judd out of the equation, do you really think we have improved all that much this year when compared to last year. What saved us from a 100 point loss was their inaccuracy.

Unfortunately we still lack depth and quality players going through the Bullants list. Some underserving players will have to retain their spots by default unfortunately with only Anderson a certainty to come in the side.

Conundrum

IMO, we need to find A graders to replace those empty spots from this rounds named team if we're to take the next step of being finals contenders.
A career defining game for a few players last night.

Army looked promising, Browney & Bryce showed cool heads

Bad luck for PB.
Murph, Fish need a kick up the arse on last nights performance.

Pro:
1. According to Channel Ten Canberra's unprecedented coverage (10.30 kickoff) we only lost by 3 goals. At least seven Geelong goals were missing as they ran, at times, 19 consecutive ads, while obviously letting the game run in the background. They'd come back from an ad break and instead of four goals down we would be eight. It was awesome. Glad we got pumped or I would have put my fist through the tele.

2. Armfield went OK.

Con:
1. Players deciding when they decide to go for the footy. If it's your turn you go, no matter what. Nothing to think about.

Pros - Grigg continues to improve
Armfield good debut

Cons - smashed in the ruck as usual
smashed in the midfield
no CHF
A long way away from the really good sides
Need a number of midfielders who are tough and accountable
Love ABs endeavour, but he is slow
We're about 12-10 quality and Cats are premiership quality
We need another 3-4 genuine quality players and improvement by all
