Mark Fine is a great host, and shows a lot more sporting knowledge than some of the other sen rubbishes

I also think he gives Carlton a fair run on his program, especially when we win....always lets the blues supporters have their say and he backs up the club when the filth try ruin our moment in the sun.

His Friday night segment was just a hypothetical to try get some ratings, not to cause trouble. Outsiders to the club dont few ratts like we do, they dont have the same connection. If we had Dean Bailey as coach instead of Ratts, would you want to poach Worsfold (bringing Kerr with him)? Damn Straight!!

I think Ratts knows what he is doing. Hes Carlton through and through, the players like him, the board like him, the fans like him, why change?

Mind you its all wins and losses at the end of the day, if your losing nobody likes you, if you win everyone does.

In saying that, I see no point in changing, the example of Thompson is a correct one.

Mark Fine is a good host, but as one eyed as we are on here.

I remember, about 12 months ago, he was absolutely giving it to us. He admitted then that he loved nothing more than seeing us in the position we were. He also said we were miles off it.

He also stated that again early in the year. Chris Judd would do little to turn that around.

I wish he would take a good hard look in the mirror.

Finey also said, that he hates us with a passion. Because we are arrogant. Because we have given it to the Saints for as long as he can remember.

He used to annoy me to no end. But now, the way I see it, I would much rather a man like he talk through his rose coloured glasses rather than a host who is more of a yes man there to please everyone.

After all, it his opinion, no matter how wrong we perceive it to be!

I remember that conversation. Finey was almost spitting the words out.
He loathes Carlton.

We should enjoy it. Let them all grumble and worry and try to hold us down.

We will not be held.

Mark Fine's time is coming.

As is that other St. Kilda moron on 3AW - who keeps the cretins and insomniacs awake at night Keith McGowan.

Not a fan of Mark Fine but you would have to think that Swann and Pratt would be looking at whose around at the end of Rattens contract amongst the big name coaches...
I like Brett Ratten who coaches like he played with integrity and honesty but have always felt he has been appointed as a caretaker during the initial rebuilding period and would have to get some seriously good results to keep the job longterm...hope he does..

Fair post here but i certainly believe that Ratten has all the creditentials to be a premiership coach at AFL level. I am not saying not to investigate prospective coaches but as long as there is steady improvement within the next 2 seasons, he should remain at the helm until that improvement diminishes to a point where our progression has stalled IMO.

He's work ethic has been flawless, whilst sending a positive message to his players, and keeping his composure in the box and making moves that need to be made. It's bloody good to have a champion clubman at the helm yet i think that his coaching capabilities should be distinguished from this.

Another test for Ratts will come at season's end when the call is made on Houlihan and Thornton, who in my optinion don't bleed for the club and should be traded/ delisted for players with more hardness and desire IMHO.
