I can top that.... I'll be flying down at 6:50 on Sunday and flying back at 10:30 the next day.... I had to leave enough time to wake up after I write myself off to celebrate the win!!

I'm like Dannyboy - I can't make my heart and my head synch up sometimes! :) :)

During the whole Judd saga I had SEN on in the background while studying for Yr.12 exams. 4 days before my English exam, I went to Princes Park to see Judd's first training session. I still did very well in my exams :-D

I can understand that as there are heaps of quotes from classic English literature on SEN. For instance, which Shakespeare play does this quote come from...." We're in the box seat"? And I am sure that "we are just taking it one week at a time" is from Chaucers Canterbery Tales.

.... and you could learn a lot about grammar and pronunciation from many of the panel members.

When I was younger and was asked what year I was born, I used to say 1979. Which is blatantly untrue, as I was born in 1980. But we didn't win the premiership in 1980, did we? I was, however conceived in 1979 so i thought it was close enough...

I taught my 3 year old daughter the entire Carlton theme song.
She is now 5 and can recite it at will.
Her mother, my ex, is a collingwood supporter....um....you know the rest.

That's gold jerry!

After the 1999 Preliminary Final you drive past Windy Hill.

Actually you dont drive past Windy Hill - you actually circle Windy Hill - with a Carlton Flag hanging out the window - honking the the horn and yelling out at the top of your voice "We stuck it up you".

Twice.

at our wedding my wife's family began to sing the Collingwood song (her dad, ex Collingwood doctor, had only just died) well hey, I'm from a bunch of Irish Micks, for every Protestant Scottish scum singing that stupid song, there were five pissed Bluebbagger sons or daughters (my dad had died 3 months earlier)... we sung 'em out of the pub!

Made mrs camel come for a walk with me after the Melbourne finals loss in 2000. It was pissing down rain. I was so bloody angry, I just said, "we're going for a @#$%&! walk and I don't care that it's @#$%&! raining!"

I can post this here and now, because I know MrsKK doesn't read the main board.....

I'm going to wear my Carlton jumper under my suit jacket at my wedding, and be able to show it off while we're having some pics taken.

I'll post the pics after the wedding.

When in large shopping retailer eg. KMart, I put the Carlton jumpers on the Collingwood hangers. Pretty juvenile I know, but I can't resist!

1984-86 living in Alice Springs, only radio coverage was ABC match of the day and it was interspersed with every race meeting in the country.

If they weren't doing the Carlton match, then just as they were giving scores from other games, an announcer would break in with "They are now racing in Mt Isa", or some other place, and you would miss out on the scores.

So when I had to work on the Saturday, I would ring a mate in Melbourne and and get him to put the radio next to the phone and listen to the Carlton game for a couple of hours!

The library at the school at which I work has a book about Ang Christou; an easy reader outlining his career and interests etc.

I have placed the book on its own stand, under which I have a sign which reads: 'Book of the Week (and of the century).'

I thought there'd be no Pies jumper left, on account of them all being shoplifted. :)

Look, I know this is my third post in this thread, but, gee, its a goody......anyway, in 1994, I'm spending a romantic getaway with my partner at the time, in a swish hotel (in Melbourne, somewhere- yeah, some getaway!). So, picture this: great room, overlooking the 'G, beers aplenty and wait for it...a spa. So we're in the spa and the mood's great, the partner whispering sweet nothings in my ear (which is impressive because I've taken the hearing aids out...!) Only one problem though- the radio is on in the background and Carlton is playing and as my poor beloved is trying to get her point across, I say, "Ssh, I'm listening to the game!".....

Wnat to know what game it was? The bloody qualifying final against the Cats!!!

Hope the end result in the spa was better than the end result of the game.

But I'm thinking you may have crashed and burned.

I don't think she was whispering sweet nothings, probably telling you to turn the radio down more like it.
