We were obviously looking for someone who was popular the last time we owned the competition in the 70s and 80s.

Like the toilets in the Social Club - he stank :garthp: .

Oh, absolutely!

We saw this photo being taken and my daughter said to me
"Daddy, who's that getting their picture taken?" and I said
"I dunno about the skinny guy with the hat on, but the good lookin bloke in the shades is Marciblue!!"

I didnt go this year.

My kids are young 2,5,6
They are intersted in the rides above anything else.
Last year the lines were horrendous. It was poorly run and organised. I thing its got too big for me. When my kids are older and are more interested in the footy side, I'll go back

Apparently Carlton supporters that were at the family day are calling KB on SEN and bagging the family day, about the queues being too long for everything.
Now i was there and yes i waited 40 mins for an ice cream for my daughter only to give up and not get one due to the wait being too long. BUT what is the purpose of bagging your own team on a national radio station especially when the host of the radio show is that sc*mbag KB.
Please guys i understand your frustration but we need to be united and support our club.... not get the boots in and be the laughing stock amongst other teams.

Poor form. I agree hollywood why bag the club when there is so much good media about the club in the press.

I went last year and this year and the crowd was double in size this year. It is hard to please all people.

I had my godson with me and he was waiting in line for over an hour to get Juddy signature unfortunately the player were taken away and he never got it.

But the staff in the tent did give away alot of free stuff to the people that missed out. Lots of posters of Juddy and Fev. and Also hyundai bag with lots of goodies.

I was pleased with the day cannot expect the players to sign 7,000 signitures

Yesterday was a day to celebrate the rise of the blues not to give cheap shots the next day.

1 x Judd + 7,000 supporters = long wait. I can understand that.

Some of the other services were very shabby.

I hope they learn from this, although they should've seen it coming a mile away. I also waited over half an hour for an ice cream. Surely they coulda seen that they were going to need more than 2 vans on a day like yesterday :? .

The merchandise shop was run off its feet as I would've presumed. The CFC must've also presumed this seeing the joint was full of #5 stuff. Unfortunately, they had a very, very slow check out system.

I reckon I'll just stick to taking the Princesses to training from now on.

Plenty of 40 year old blokes were pissed off that they had to wait in line for an hour before Judd could sign something they were going to flog on ebay.

I remember going to pleasant sunday mornings when I was a kid and they were probably attended by about 50 or 60 supporters. The players would just be seated eating sausages and the KIDS would go up for an autograph or a photo.

Who cares about the players, i was there to have my photo taken in front of the Social Club with my daughter before it is torn down. She also got to walk around/fall over in the centre square like the previous greats of our club

The best kids fun was the mats covering the entrances to the ground. Nobody was allowed past little Mjonc else you would cop a right hander from her

Dont bet on it.
Its not like the ice creams are free. If they had 2 more vans they would have still made plenty of money. Just 3 years ago, family day used to be fun. its too big for that now.

You make a good point. These sorts of events are all going to have long queues. We should congratulate ourselves as members on the fact that the club has this problem.

Instead we should email Ian coutts with a "Thank you, but ....." letter. See what response they give you.

I can’t understand why there is so much annoyance about the queues! I mean, the club isn’t throwing a private BBQ in your backyard and you have sole access to the players!!!
Such a lack of patience and common sense. I was waiting for a photo with Ryan for around 10 mins and he was probably two kids away from me and had to go. Big deal. Just keep having fun with your kids and hope you get another player. It’s not the end of the world
