As the Hyundai logo appears on the front of the guernsey for home games and then on the back for away games, do we still have room for an away sponsor?

The best we can do is Hyundai as a JOINT sponsor.

The club is associating themselves as what is percieved a cheap and nasty korean brand in Australia.

Visy had to come on board because we could not land another sponsor, and they try fluff it up by selling it as this enviromental awareness campaign.

Look at he pies, Lexus, Emirates, Mcdonalds, Sony

Carlton, Hyundai, Optus, Visy all second rate corporates.

Pub deals fail, Major sponsorship falling through, yet to begin development and some people on this site have the nerve to bag other clubs.

again, this carlton arrogance will be our downfall. People will never learn

The Carlton Football Club is a tarnished brand.

Go buy a hyundai!!!!! geez

Go and take some thing and have a lie down. We are starting from a long way back and try to put this in some perspective Hyundai is not a cheap brand, nor is VISY. Yes we have work to do but this is a start and allegedly more to come...

Subaru is better in terms of quality.

Quality of Hyundai is improving. Even Toyota/Lexus has had its share of quality problems.

You think that Holden (I'm presuming is the other H car company) is any better in terms of reliability? Half its stuff comes from Korea - and the Commodores aren't exempt from reliability and build quality problems.

Optus is a 2nd rate corporate?

Visy a 2nd rate corporate?

McDonalds is the envy of the corporate world?

I can understand where melvey is coming from, especially after all the hype around here about a "massive" sponsor, but hey hyundai is a pretty big brand too.

Look Melvey, seriously, I wonder why you come here .... specially when you post rubbish such as this.

I'll give you a clue .... Korea is now considered to have quality manufacturing and a high technology industrial base ... your apparently limited view of the world seems rather dated.

And are you holding McDonalds as a shining example of food quality?

Holden / GMH just announced the second biggest ever loss in global corporate history. Hyundai are doing better than that!

General Motors announced the loss, not Holden (who haven't been GM-H) for some time).

Holden is travelling nicely, as far as I'm aware, and is isolated somewhat from GM's problems.

I have to say I agree with Melvey here............ a lot of you are too sensitive when someone says something negative about CFC. If you take off your rose coloured glasses you may see what he is saying has some merit. I am not saying that Swann and Pratt haven't turned us around (if this were Smorgon we would have 'Joes Fish and Chips' as our sponsor), but we should be trying to get more big name sponsors...

Emirates is assosisated with BEST AIRLINE, CLASS etc.
Sony - Quality
Lexus - Prestige, Quality

Us............

Optus - Second Level Phone Carrier (no class, no prestige)
Hyundai - Good value for money
Visy - Tarnished image...........

You make the call........

Why did Hyundai leave us to begin with? At the negotiating table I hope Swann asked "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE FOR ME LATELY???"

Here are some facts for you re car quality -

My 2000 Holden Vectra - piece of SH1T with engine problems that Holden themselves couldn't fix.

My 2004 Hyundai Elantra - so far no problems at all.

How many grass roots footy supporters can afford to fly Emirates or buy a Lexus?

Dunno if my streaming SEN online is a bit behind, but they're reporting the press coverage will be on air soon...

Cool, only reason I knew of it was people are worried in Adelaide about job losses in Holden due to GM's issues.

Emirates - yeah, good airline, prices are a bit higher than QF/BA even SQ or CX to Europe because they have the added advantage of going one-stop to smaller European destinations like Dusseldorf, Manchester, Birmingham, Glasgow, Vienna instead of having to transit Frankfurt or London Heathrow which is compulsory if you fly on QF/BA. Top notch service yes, new planes yes, but they have always targeted Melbourne before Sydney because it identified that QF was neglecting Melbourne somewhat.

Sony - overpriced. Quality but way over-priced. You ever tried a Sony VAIO laptop? Seen the prices of Sony LCD TV's?

Lexus - good quality brand but cheapest car is $55K...
