So when Pendlebury knocked Fisher to the $hithouse the next quarter, where was Fevola and his line in the sand then?

Or isn't Fisher young enough to qualify for protection at Carlton?

and this is where you show your collingwood brain cells, you have no idea.

Pendlebury didnt do anything illegal, it was a perfectly acceptable hip and shoulder, thats footy.

nothing to complain about as far as im concerned.

the melee was a response to daisy (great name for a poof and the flower is a front runner show pony so he fits in well) trying to clean up Murphy after he kicked the ball.

it was an extension of that, and its about time we had out team stick up for themselves, you want to play rough, then flower you, if it bites your head off, about time we did it, and i say bravo.

kudos to all the lads that got involved, with special mention to abs and fev. (abs went to murph the first time and ended up with a torn jumper)

its what is needed, santy in the mix of it as well :-D

You must have been rapt.

When 4 points start getting dished out for jumper punches and pretend fighting...you'll be set.

And I'm the stupid one.

ADP - take a reality check for a second please, you're not even as good as you were last year and look how that finished up. You are treading water and will eventually, slowly, drown. Keep believing that you are a good team, it makes it more enjoyable for the rest of us.

Some good youngsters - yes, a good - premiership challenging team - no

New Ms Wojee was dirty with me that I hadn't called her in to watch it when it erupted too.

Exactly, everyone loves a bit of biffo. The crowd well and truly erupted when it broke out. 77,000 people on their feet going beserk.

Aussie rules is such a passionate sport, it's good to see some of that passion spill over on the field. I'm sick of watching robots.

The AFL want to sanitise the game but it's the passion and rivalry spilling over into a bit of "argy-bargy" as Rocca put it that gets non-football fans like NMW interested.

Atleast someone showed a bit of balls to do something. Fev responded the best after that Melee and kicked 2.2. Not our fault we were outcoached in the 2nd half.
FEV is no FAILURE MATE!

Sounded like a joke comment to me

well spotted mate....course it was a joke..good ole sarcasm...but I forgot not everyone gets it

I always get the sarcasm :)

Good to see a melee, wouldnt call it a fight though.

First time this year the AFL had a bit of passion in it. But once again the AFL will say its bad for the game and give hefty fines. But its what everyone loves to see if your a true football lover.

Fevs got his new restaurant to pay for his fines :) its all good

All fines goto charity apparently, so bring on the melees.

No matter what any one says (especially the filth followers) Fev for me is an inspiring player. He is what we need about another 4 or 5 of. Tough passionate players willing to put their bodies on the line and stand up for their team mates on the gorund and take no shit from nobody. Fev in my book has all the attributes (except his brain fades) of a great carlton captain. Remember Nichols, Fitzy and Kerna's took no shit and always looked out for their little men. Whitnall is not a physical player and neither is Stevens. Out of the current crop Fev is the man. If not for his off field drama's he should and probably would be captain of this club.

Yes inspiring

I'm not sure if he inspired the pies on more though, but good to see a leader out there on the field.

I think you'll find supporters of your own team bagging him more than we do.

I hardly think the filth needed Fev to inspire them, just a look at the scoreboard was enough.
It was good to see the team stand up for themselves this week after last week's pi$$ weak effort.

All I know was - where we were sitting on Saturday in the Great Southern Stand (Q21) - the crowd both Collingwood and Carlton rose as one and applauded both sides for their showing.

Damning indictment really that we have come to this applauding a few jumper punches.

But for the first time this year we saw a bit of passion and spirit (from both sides) in a game.

Note to AFL - "Rivalry Round" you Demetrispew, Anderson, etc what a bunch of cock sucking inept poo jabbing incompetant twats you really are.

Fevola was kicking the goal 5 seconds later.

Does somebody know how much a clue costs? I want to start an appeal.

Carlton to blame for melee: McGuire

http://realfooty.com.au/news/news/carlt ... 76209.html

I thought it was Didak who started it when he was mouthing off to and then bumped either of Carazzo or Murphy (couldn't determine which one on the replay) as the players were walking to their huddles.

Then Fevola retailiated, with interest...

Fev's bump was the softest of the match. Three Collingwood ferals responded to to a bump that wouldn't draw a free kick during play.

Why did Fraser and Holland join in? Because they were flying the flag for Duckbum Didak.

On reflection, well done to Fev for not reacting while Kennedy was shooting for goal. Smartest thing he's done....ever.

Although Ed makes some fair points in that article I think he should just shut up and pay the fines. It's not like either team can't afford it and it was good for football!

Its crap. Didak gave a cheap little elbow as he walked past. It was a benign sort of bump but it was there. fev reacted more aggressively. The Pies then reacted more aggressively. How can you say Fev started it and not Didak.

Carlton - collingwood games should be exempt from melee rules. It lets off alot of steam that would otherwise be transferred throughout the game.

I hate McChins, the Colliwobools and every-one associated with this club.

Just wish my club would get it's act together and show them how to win a premieship or two, that's the only way you'll shut them up!
